International Fugitives arrested Locally - Four international fugitives have been arrested in Benidorm and L'Alfs del Pi.  One charged with the crime of child sexual exploitation, child pornography and for abusing his ten-year-old daughter.

The National Police Benidorm Police Station have arrested in the last week four fugitives who were wanted on European Arrest Warrants issued by the authorities of different countries and for different crimes.

The first of those arrested was in the town of L'Alfs del Pi and was Norwegian nationality aged 55.   Wanted by the authorities of their country since the beginning of September this year.

The fugitive was located by agents of the 3rd Judicial Police Group of the Benidorm Police Station who acted in perfect coordination with the Fugitive Group of the General Judicial Police Station.

In mid-September the police received this person's Search Order as well as information that he had allegedly settled in the Albir area. From then they carried out various research until they finally managed to find the escapee stopping him as he strolled along an avenue in the town, he had been in such a town for six months where he had settled.

For these acts he was pending trial facing the possibility of being sentenced to a maximum of seven years in prison.

The last of the international  detainees was located in the early morning by the members of the Response Operational Group of the Benidorm Police Station who carried out a routine check when a car jumped a red light.

After stopping the car and identifying its occupants, the officers discovered that one of them, a Polish national of 40 years old, had in force a European Arrest and Delivery Order for a drug trafficking offence, membership of criminal organization and destruction of documents, issued by Poland and for which he had been sentenced to six years in prison, remaining for his three years after fleeing the country he took refuge in Alicante, until now uncovered.

The detainee was made available to the Central Courts of Instruction of the National Court, responsible for carrying out the formalities of the European Order of Detention and Delivery.
