City Streets Community Project Benidorm

BREAKING NEWS!
We’re pleased share some great news with you all.
We’re just halfway through January and we’ve already helped
2 people to get off the streets and start a new life.
Adam arrived in Benidorm last summer, ran into some problems and ended up on the streets and in a bad way after being robbed. We’ve helped him with food and legal support and he arrived back in Scotland last week. He has a great family support network and a job he can return to.
Mark is an Ex-Serviceman from the UK (although running into some problems after a messy divorce and ending up on the streets 15 months ago) appeared on our Radar in Altea mid December. Our fantastic team of volunteers from Altea/Albir helped with food etc and then one volunteer opened their home to him whilst we got him some urgent help.
We contacted the Benidorm branch of the Royal British Legion, who have been absolutely amazing.
He’s flying back to the UK today, near to his family where temporary accommodation has been organised and he’s been put top of the council housing list, they hope to have him sorted permanently in around a month.
We’re so happy to share this with you, because without so many of you out there contributing to this Project, none of this would’ve happened.
Individuals, Charities and Organisations within our community working together can achieve so much, THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!

Nos complace compartir grandes noticias con todos vosotros.
Apenas estamos a mitad de enero y ya hemos ayudado
a 2 personas a salir de la calle y comenzar una nueva vida.
Adam llegó a Benidorm el verano pasado, tuvo algunos problemas y terminó en la calle y en mal estado después de ser robado. Le hemos ayudado con comida y apoyo legal y regresó a Escocia la semana pasada. Tiene una gran red de apoyo familiar y un trabajo al que puede regresar.
Mark es un ex militar del Reino Unido (aunque tuvo algunos problemas después de un divorcio complicado y terminó en la calle hace 15 meses) apareció en nuestro radar en Altea a mediados de diciembre. Nuestro fantástico equipo de voluntarios de Altea/Albir ayudó con comida, etc., y luego un voluntario le abrió su casa mientras le conseguíamos ayuda urgente.
Nos pusimos en contacto con la delegación de Benidorm de la Royal British Legion, que ha sido absolutamente increíble.
Hoy vuela de regreso al Reino Unido, cerca de su familia, donde se ha organizado un alojamiento temporal y se le ha puesto al principio de la lista de viviendas del consejo, esperan tenerlo resuelto permanentemente en alrededor de un mes.
Estamos muy felices de compartir esto con vosotros, porque sin tantos de vosotros contribuyendo a este Proyecto, nada de esto habría sucedido.
