Benidorm Beach Vendors

Benidorm Beach Vendors
As the sun comes out and the beaches starts to get busy, the beach vendors start to become more noticeable and we have already had some posts on the Benidorm Seriously Facebook Group. These people will walk along the beach trying to sell you bottles of water, mixed cocktails, sangria and slices of watermelon.
Many people believe these people work in the nearby bars, they DO NOT.
Do not be tempted to buy from these people, they are unofficial and are unlicensed traders and are all breaking local by-laws. Also they would not pass Spanish health and safety and food hygiene standards, as most of the drinks are mixed at the side of the road in unsanitary conditions.
31st May 2019 – Seven arrested for illegal activities on Benidorm Beaches – read the story HERE
During the high season which officially starts in June there are more police patrolling the beach to stop this illegal activity, but during out of season periods. please be aware that these people are not what they seem. The only legal items allowed to be sold on the beach is the hire of sunbeds and parasols.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE BEACH VENDORS. TAKE A STROLL AND USE THE LOCAL SHOPS UP AND DOWN THE BEACH FRONT, THERE IS NEVER ONE FAR AWAY FROM YOU.
The same rules apply to the people walking up and down the beach offering massages – these are NOT legal, most are not trained and they hold NO licences and are breaking the law. DO NOT USE THEM.

I’m laid on a sun bed in the Rincon Beach area Benidorm I’m absolutely shocked the amount of English tourists buying those false cocktails from those rodents at €5 a shot shocking, you gotta read up on the doe’s & don’ts in Benidorm and its clear to see people don’t!!!
“mojiteros”
In the month of May, a Benidorm court issued the first three sentences against these “mojiteros” precisely for disobedience and sentenced them to a fine of four euros a day for four months.
The councilman of the area, Lorenzo Martinez, explained to this newspaper that “we are putting all the means we have to try to end this practice in the streets of Benidorm.”
He added that “we will continue with this line of work in September and October” to try to finish them or at least reduce their activity.
it’s a nitemare I had one hide by the side of my lounger when the police was patrolling I told him to get lost in a polite way
Think it’s time the beach bars or legitimate vendors where allowed to sell on the beach. Would cut out these scumbags.
Benidorm town hall release figures showing that there were 1,400 people denounced by the police for street scams (peamen), illegal beach drink sellers, and other similar acts last year.
Saw them last week up the cat park by Tiki / Jungle. Making cocktails n cutting fruit on a piece of cardboard the hiding the stuff under the steps while they went off to sell a batch. Urghhh 🤢
Saw them making on the steps of tika bar . Full of urine. Fag ends and God knows what. But people still buy.. macho man on beach selling like hot cakes….not for me thanks
Seen these guys today making up drinks to sell on the beach. They put the remainder of the alcohol and the knife they used to cut the lemon and watermelon in the bushes until they came back.
If people didn’t buy them nobody would sell them
very true, its all about supply and demand, all we can do is keep warning people.
