British man arrested in Benidorm for falsely reporting his car stolen

National Police in Benidorm have arrested a 19-year-old British man accused of falsifying a police report stating that two men had assaulted, beaten him and stolen his car.

Upon further investigation of the story due to the fact there were several contradictions in his report and after viewing video surveillance cameras in the area.  The police determined that the complainant allegedly had some kind of mishap with his vehicle during the early morning, and instead of taking responsibility for the incident, decided to report being beaten by two men with the intention of steeling his vehicle.

After discovering the false claims and finding out what really happened, the agents proceeded to arrest this person accused of a simulation crime.

No further updates are available at this time.
