We stayed there two weeks ago fab hotel great choices at breakfast (we only did b&b) very central to everything. Upgrade to balcony if you haven't got one. It was 60 euros to upgrade for the 5 days we were there. -

I like the Avenida Hotel, the location is great and the rooms are lovely, as long as you get a balcony! The food isn’t to my taste, so I only ever go B’n’B now and I eat out.
he rooms on the 6th floor, (there is only 3 of them), are lovely and big and you can see the street and sea. Plus it’s on the same level as the pool.

Room 331 was looking out onto street, great for people watching. Hotel is lovely. . But have the smallest and slowest lifts in the world lol Food was hit and miss for us! Loads of fruit which I loved. But loads of places too eat near by. 2 mins from sea location excellent in middle of Old Town

Room 420 is facing the sea so sun all day. Food is average but was only £20 extra for half board. I went on my own. Friendly and ideal location -
Good hotel in great position from the beachGood hotel in great position from the beach, old town shops, bars. rooms very good we have been 3 times to Avenida going in January for 3 weeks. meals plenty to choose from, ask for a balcony, otherwise you will have a room with no view. Staff very helpful.

Avenida, rooms ok but you need one with a balcony not at back. Food is excellent, different food choices all the time. Also don't buy the drinks package, a big glass of wine is 1.80€ in the bar and restaurant but they give you a bigger glass in restaurant I found one glass enough. It's also very close to beach/shops and old town. Swimming pool on roof was small. -

Good clean hotelI’ve stayed in the Avenida many times, it’s a good clean hotel, great location near the beach and with the Old Town shops, bars and restaurants close by.
Make sure you get allocated a room with a street balcony, a few rooms don’t have them. Small rooftop pool with great views over the sea to Peacock Island. I’ve never eaten there, prefer to eat out. The hotel is very close to the beach and the bars and restaurants of Old Town. Great atmosphere, busy but more relaxed than New Town

i have stayed there 4 times each time is better than the last
very close to all the shops and short distance from the beach and all the Taps bars bus stops near bye
24 hour reception the staff are brilliant and help in every possible
looking forward to my stay in 2020 if everything is back to normal

Stayed here lots of times was refurbished last year, there are better hotels but it’s in a great location for the old town , downside is you cannot book a balcony room in advance and you may not get one so you may have to change rooms mid holiday when one becomes available.
