  • Amazing family holiday

    ,

We got back at 6am this morning. Thought I'd do a post for those looking to book or who are due to come soon, firstly I'm going to say ignore the negative reviews on trip advisor.
After booking i was a bit nervous reading some reviews but after having just spent a week here I don't understand how people can be so negative.

This was our first family holiday with 5 kids, we arrived at around 1/2pm and our room was ready this isn't always the case mind you, our transfer from Alicante airport took around 1hr 15 mins but this does depend on the amount of people on your coach and the amount of stops.

Food- it's a buffet style food hall cooking on mass, if you want a 4 star Michelin restaurant standard in food don't book this resort 🤷 having said that I didn't find the food bad, none of us ever went hungry and there was a lot of choice, I particularly liked the curry and Mexican night. If you can't find at least one thing you like then I'd say your extremely fussy 🤣 they always also have things like pasta/nuggets etc for the kids who like the beige stuff lol. I personally didn't see any flies on the food.

The resort itself- amazing , the pools are great, cold -yes but that was also quite nice in 30 degree weather , the waterpark is a must visit, and the sea lion experience my kids won't ever forget, my only slight complaint with the waterpark is that the all inclusive bar is up a load of steep steps and the queues can get long but it didn't ruin our day . I would recommend going all inclusive plus to queue jump, we wish we did.

Zoo- equally as good really enjoyed walking around we missed the bird show so make sure you take note of time it's on because after it starts you can't just walk in and sit down.

Lodges- we had a 3 bed polynesian lodge nice and clean daily cleaners come and restock the fridge and tidy around , also had two bathrooms and showers which was really handy, walls are a bit thin so keep that in mind lol but otherwise no complaints , the air con was a God send 🤣

Evening entertainment- so I will say if you are booking a resort based on this and evening entertainment is one thing high on your priority list , this probably isn't the best resort to book, it's mid at best but we didn't really mind, we just sat with a few drinks and the kids ran around playing tag etc lol. The shows and entertainment as well as meal times are quite late but we liked this because there was no rushing around and we could just leisurely enjoy our day without missing things. Plus your on holiday it's almost a given right that the kids stay up a bit later lol.

Overall- really enjoyed our holiday we made memories my kids won't forget and that's priceless, I would recommend this resort 100%.

Tips- visit benidorm at least once the beach is great with a big inflatable in the sea, you can hire jet skis and slides in the sea, also take an empty water bottle , fill it with a little bit of bread and sea water shake it up to seperate the bread and gently squeeze it under the water the fish will swarm around you and its great if the kids have snorkels (we learnt this when we went to Turkey) taxi into benidorm is around 12euro each way and no longer than 10/15 mins.
The tiki bar on the seafront is great for cocktails too.
Overall we all had an amazing time and loved our holiday, don't miss the foam party too.

Just got back nearly two weeks ago, and its absolutely brilliant
We go every year and can't fault the place

    Leah Tull
The lodges are cute, quite compact. We were up the back and it's quite a walk up if there are no free buggies to run you up. Food was nice. Aqua park was good.

We stayed in August and loved it. Only downside for me was being to far away from town, really missed just being able to pop out to a bar, beach or shops. It's a beautiful place though

We currently there and its good. Only downfall is the rooms are full of ants and not cleaned properly at all!! Dirty floors etc. But other than that it's a nice place x

    Dannii Burrage - 15th July 2018

we came back on Tuesday we loved it, our room was always very very clean, it was a little bit more hilly than expected but we managed, the earlier you go for food the quieter the restaurant was we had no problems there, the entertainment wasn't amazing for adults but my child loved it, zoo and water-park absolutely fab

Also the new pool thats opened near the new lodges at the front of the hotel is fab and so much quieter than the main pool would recommend going there x

    Jayne Kouadio - 3rd February 2018

Yep. It's fab. Going back there ourselves in October. So much to do for the kids and the evening entertainment for the adults is great too.x

    HOTEL MAGIC NATURA

We stayed at Magic Natura for one week from 12th July 2015 on an all inclusive basis.

    Check In

We arrived around 13:00 and luckily our 3 bed lodge was ready. Reception was friendly and provided all the information we needed. The reception area is unusual and is a bit like a kiosk but there are nice places to sit while waiting for taxis etc.

Golf style buggies are used to transport you and your luggage to your lodge, some are quite a walk away.

    Lodge

We had a 3 bed lodge which was very nice although compact! There were 2 adults and a 15 and 12 year old so they each had their own room and the space felt fine for us. They can sleep up to 7 and in my opinion this would be cramped. There was an en-suite to the master and a separate shower room - no bath in either which was fine with us although someone with little ones may miss one. Some toiletries were provided which were adequate. There were 2 aircon units which were very effective and needed to be, as the lodges tend to heat up very quickly.

There was a kettle with tea/coffee sugar and long life milk, also a small fridge stocked with a bottle of sparkling wine and various cans and water. The water was restocked every day the other things occasionally. Also free Wifi.

Outside our lodge we were lucky to have a little area with sun beds and a clamshell lounger, table and a couple of chairs.

Just behind our lodge was a splash pool with a small slide and squirting elephant also a shaded area with little tables and chairs for little children. It wasn't used that much while we were there so we would pop there to cool off.

One thing to note is that as a brand new place there are several small things in the lodges which need to be rectified ie. Leaking showers. They didn't bother us so we only told reception at the end of the holiday as we didn't really want maintenance people going in and out, hopefully they will all be rectified in time.

    Resort

The resort is brand new and looks it. It is kept very clean but needs a bit of time for plants etc to become established to give it a bit more character. All accommodation we saw was semi detached and single storey. There is one swimming pool with a separate kid’s area and Jacuzzi. The pool is used for activities and is small. You do however have free access to the water park just down the road with shuttles if you don't fancy the walk, but sometimes you just want a quick dip and the pool always seems crowded, you couldn't swim in it. It is however surrounded by lots of sun beds, a bar and additional seating overlooking the elephants at Terra Natura. The bar here serves a wide variety of drinks and a few snacks, crisps and some sandwiches which always looked unappetising! The staff were efficient and friendly. Like all the bars currently all premium drinks are included if you are AI which is unusual, not sure if this will continue.

There are 3 restaurants, 2 self service buffet and one which we didn't use but I believe is a meat oriented BBQ which you need to book. The bigger of the two buffet restaurants has a huge choice of food but can be very busy where you have to wait for a table to be cleared. We tended to go a little later to avoid this which wasn't a problem, breakfast was served there until 11, lunch until 3.30 and dinner until 10. The other buffet restaurant was smaller and had a much calmer atmosphere, however it just seemed to have a smaller choice and no chocolate fountain (a favourite with the kids) so we only went in once

    .

There is a bar in the main courtyard with indoor and outdoor seating, this was pleasant but at times did seem to play very loud music. On our last night we also found the entertainment area with another bar. Can't really comment on the entertainment as we only saw about 15 minutes, there is also a pool table at the bar.

There are also a couple of very basic pop up style shops, selling sweets, inflatables, sun cream etc.

    Entertainment

There is a kids club (we didn't use) and daily activities for all ages (we didn't get involved) and an enclosed ball area.

As a resident you get free entry into Aqua Natura and Terra Natura, with a free shuttle to the water park. At the water park there is a bar just for hotel guests with free drinks and snack/lunch. The menu is basic but is changed daily. You also get free sun loungers. We enjoyed the water park and went there on 4 days. We went to the zoo twice, it's right next to the hotel so you don't get free drinks or food but you do get 10% discount on refreshments and in the gift shop.

There are also free shuttles into Benidorm but you are restricted to a timetable, we got a cab in which was about €10 each way with a tip.

    Summary

Lovely hotel, different to anywhere else I have stayed, nice atmosphere and plenty of space around, not like a high rise hotel -that is a huge benefit for us! It is still very new and is establishing itself so there are some maintenance issues in the lodges, ours were minor so not an issue. The resort is spread out and not level, we were 5-10 minute walk from the restaurants, we enjoyed the walk but it would not be good for those who are less mobile.

Staff on the whole were very good and all spoke English and worked very hard. Impressed with the choice of drinks, even my fussy daughter found her drink (chocolate milk with squirty cream!). Bottles of water were given out readily, we got through a lot as it was hot! Buffet had a lot of choice although I think for 2 weeks is like many and would get repetitive.

Loved the free Water park access. The resort itself I think is geared more towards families with smaller children rather than teenagers, other than the water park and zoo there is nothing close by that could be an issue for some. The onsite pool is too small in my opinion, it could do with another one to use when activities were going on.

If you're looking for a relaxing break then this is great location however if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of a resort then this isn't the place for you.

Thomas Mcintyre - we have just returned 7 june 16 there is about 7 small kids pools there now kids club

and the staff that run it are superb ,food very good and hot, what we liked about it was you could if you want

go on the free bus to Benidorm, this is for families.

Jayne Kouadio - My son is 8, made loads of friends and loved every minute. The entertainment at night is fab. Food gorgeous and all branded drinks. You can have a full day out on waterproof where there's an all Inc bar for you and a full day out in the zoo.x

We ended up with a really tiny room as we only had 1 child with us. All the other rooms were massive with two bedrooms, two bathroom. Even though it was tiny we managed coz the days are just action packed so you don't spend much time in there. Just a bit hot while you are getting ready to go out at night.xx

It's one of the best holidays I've ever had. Transfer from the airport wasn't as long as it said either. You can get a free coach from right outside down into Benidorm too. Get to the stop early though as it gets busy. We used to just get a taxi back up later, about 8 euro.

It's an absolutely beautiful part of Benidorm. On the way up you feel like you are in Marbella!!! There's loads of snacks and stuff for the kids and somewhere always open for drinks and free bottled water.

Eddie Mckinlay - Stayed there in June and loved it kids were amazed booking to go back this year food was excellent entertainment was good so where the rooms perfect place to take the kids got the water park and the zoo.

Amanda Watson - I stayed here last October and loved it. a very clean place, although can be quite expensive when booking. all inclusive includes all meals and drinks (including brand name drinks, not just local). admission to the wildlife park and waterpark an added bonus for the kids. several pools in the magic complex for children, or deeper for adults. staff friendly and hardworking. some apartments can be a little far from the main areas, but a shuttle bus runs around the park all day/night to take you to main areas for free. food choice was brilliant. they have something for everyone and a dedicated childrens food area also that does things like pizza, nuggets, burgers etc. the place has wifi, although very patchy. room facilities include: fridge, kettle/tea/coffee, safe (extra charge), sofa, hairdryer. we had a 2 bedroom lodge which actually had 2 interconnecting shower rooms, very handy! the main room had a double bed with large TV and the second bedroom had bunk beds and small TV for the kids. the hotel also runs a free shuttle bus throughout the day into the main Benidorm town, stopping at 3 of the other Magic hotels, so useful if you want to go in to town shopping. Absolutely loved this place and would go again in a heartbeat.
