Nice Spanish hotel basic but clean close to the beach up a slight hill

    Dee Dee
Going back on Tuesday. You would need to be really fussy not to like, the other thing is...you get what you pay for.

    Garry Jack Hayes
My lady Angela Harvey and myself av stayed there a few times and it's nice,
Small, friendly and very Spanish but in Spain so didn't expect anything different 😆 😅 .
    We'd definitely go back..

    Robert Robertson
Worst hotel we’ve stayed in. And been to Beni over 30 times. On a hill, horrible food, not friendly. As far as I remember pool not very good as well.

    Lesley Bray
Terrible that's all I can say. I have a wide appetite but the food was dire. Also the staff were really rude.

    Alison Hughes
Don't bother the worst hotel I've stayed in Benidorm would never go back would rather camp on the beach.
    1) The room was cold and dirty when we complained was told it was new year what did we expect 🤷‍♀️.
    2) Rude staff.
    3) food was inedible mostly cold.
    4) personal possessions went missing yes should have hid them away like makeup etc but never had a problem in all years I've been going abroad.

    Great hotel food nice x

I have stayed many times in the Mont Park. It’s a small Spanish hotel half way up a steep hill. The rooms are quite small but the front rooms on a high floor have a lovely sea view. I always take my own travel kettle and tea bags, there are no fridges in the rooms xxx

    Linda Hopkins
Stayed here a couple of times nice hotel clean, the food was nice, not loads of choice but found something to eat .No fridges or kettle in room ..but that didn't bother us. Would stay here again.

    Catherine Gilmour
Stay here a lot. there's no fridge or kettle. but downstairs for cold drinks. and the bar sells coffee etc

    Dee Dee
I'm not long back from here. There was no fridge or kettle.
The drinks are cheap at the bar, we just had to drink out water etc at the room temperature or ask for a glass of ice at the bar.

It's a nice clean hotel some rooms being refurbished... Nice pool area.... Cheap drinks... Food and guests more Spanish.... I quite like hotel... Staff are nice....no complaints from me.... If you are expecting everything aimed at English... No chance.... More Spanish orientated

The Mont Park is very Spanish, but I have stayed there many times over the past 20 years, and found them ok, I just don t like the trek up the hill in the hot weather, and at 73 now, it was ok 20 years ago, xxx

We stayed there three weeks ago. The reception staff were brilliant, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Room was basic but we hardly spent any time in it anyway. Food was good to be honest, just a lack of accompaniments but quality was excellent. Location is excellent, very peaceful, up a little bit of a hill, sea views. I would certainly go again ?

Lisa McGuinness We've stayed in the Mont Park a few times now and never had a problem with the staff (all friendly), the rooms were very clean, the food was alright (no signs to say what it was, but there were always staff around to ask if you couldn't identify something)..... Yes it tends to cater more for the Spanish, but with all the other "Brit oriented" hotels around, why not..... I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again. 9/10

Aileen Garvie The rooms are a disgrace and should be maintained more often, the cleaners start washing floors at the lifts during breakfast, I already slipped one morning but it could have been nasty if it would have been one of the older people, I’m 54 not 24, was brought up to respect my elders and taught my children and grandchildren the same, every day we would say Hola to everyone including staff and they just look at you.

When we arrived I asked management if my husband and I could use our electronic cigarette in the bar and lounge and we were told yes, I was using it and this woman starts covering her mouth then nudges her pal and she starts too cough everytime we took a draw. We would sit on the big couches at night with my daughter and grandchildren and 4 woman try to squeeze on the couches with us, there were other couches not being used.

We ordered bottled water at meals for 5 of us and it got to the point they were just assuming we wanted it at all meals and would come and put it on the table and stand and wait to be paid.

We reported a lost wallet and told nothing was handed in fair enough but next day someone loses a book and there's a notice in the lifts and at reception too look out for it.

Coming out of the lifts one night at 8 oclock, myself, husband, daughter and 2 grandsons who are 10 and 7 were laughing cos the lift door shut on my husband and we were waiting on it coming back up, this old man comes out of his room screams at the top of his voice for us to SHOOOOOST (his words) and slams his room door, he made more noise doing that.

We were not a scruffy family from Scotland nor were we ever drunk or made any noise whatsoever.

The queue to get your meals was a joke, think we were invisible and nothing was ever said by Staff. I know these people work long hours and work hard but it's a Hotel and they need some sort of organisation. That's why i gave 0/10, not because it was full of Spanish, they could of had one night of British entertainment since it was Christmas and children were there, oh and some Staff dressed up Christmassy to get a Hotel pic taken at the tree then took the stuff off. 0/10

Deborah Carlisle Dining there made me shudder & cringe - saw water from plastic jugs used to fill up & mix scrambled egg that had sat in hot plate too long (to freshen). After queuing in restaurant for long times then ordered to sit with strange man as I was alone - every night until I removed myself to another hotel . Very rude staff - unusual as Spanish usually fantastic. Beds rickety and rooms need updating. 1/10

Margaret Sawers Not a nice hotel at all staff very rude meals terrible. 1/10

Sue Harp We stayed there last March. Got a really good deal. Found hotel absolutely fine including food and staff. Met some lovely people. Good location. Sorry folks. 8/10

Marlene Seville Went there 4 years ago for what we paid it was great 9/10

Anne Russell I stopped here a few years ago and it was a s*** hole then . Staff was very unhelpful... Never again x

Hazel Edgar Nothing the matter with Mont park . I've have friends that have stayed there many many times good value hotel in a good area . Gets good reviews .? I would stay there no problem

Julie Ferns Awful rooms. Food not too bad though.

Jill Priestley - I stay there twice a year with hubby n kids. Small and basic but very clean. Food nice and they've spent quite a bit doing it up the last couple of years. We like it as you don't get large groups and although close to beach you're away from busy clubs. A lot of older Spanish stay there so pool n quiet but again small and basic.

Carol Hughes - Mont Park is more Spanish orientated and doesn't offer all inclusive if that's your preference but price wise it's a steal.
The front of the hotel, reception area and restaurant have all been refurbished and are lovely and modern. The hotel rooms however are quite tired and need the same refurbished too but overall, it's a good base for your holiday. Food is fine and bar prices are reasonable.
    Hope this helps.

Stevie Wood - The Mont Park Hotel, it's half way up the so called Cardiac Hill, which in my opinion was no problem at all ........eight of us have just spent some time there, the reviews were not too great to be honest, but it was cheap enough and we knew it would only be for sleeping in and eating in occasionally.

On entering our rooms we were disappointed, well i was,... i havn't stayed in too many hotels in Benidorm, only the Pueblo, Presidente, Rosamar and the Nadal but this room was dated, more dated and basic than any we'd stayed in before, and could really do with a re-furb, strange thing is though, my daughter and her partner were in a room 2 floors above us at the back of the hotel, overlooking the Port Benidorm pool. Their room was much more modern, so the hotel may be refurbishing rooms a bit at a time.

Right...time for food review..........now this is only my opinion.......it was very good !!!
Cod, Lamb on the bone, Paella, lovely flattened chicken fillets in breadcrumbs, Tuna Steaks, Spare Ribs, Salmon Steaks, Beef Fillets,, Smoked Salmon fillets, Prawns in Batter .......as well as the usual selection of veg and fruit, chips, potato, rice etc, honestly in my opinion the best food ( for me anyway) of all the hotels i've listed.

I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Sue Harp - I stayed there in October. Second time. I like Mont Park and would stay again. It isn't too big so meal times aren't manic. Food is very good. More Spanish than many hotels but we are in Spain!. Yes rooms could do with a bit of update but ours was very clean and maid came in every day. If you are on a budget it is ideal.

Kelly Ing - The single rooms are spot on! If you want a balcony book a twin. The mont park single rooms are very adequate for a single person even if the TV is Spanish!!!! Who goes away to watch TV though.

Jon Noble - Stopped at Mont Park May 2016, Me my partner and my 84 year old Mum, we loved it, food fantastic room basic but did the job, Yes its a Spanish hotel but then again its in Spain, The only let down was a stag party that were over the top with kids round the pool and bring there own drink in, and leaving a lot of mess, they got pulled up in the end, I would go again.

Rosalind Thomas - Stayed here a few times. ...they did start refurbishing the rooms last year. Clean hotel, excellent pool area drinks sensible prices food more Spanish than English excellent value 2 minutes from beach and easy access to plenty of good venues. Found staff great on 5 times i hace stayed there in fact in December i was staying at Nereo and seen some of the staff shopping and they came over for chat.....all in all a clean good hotel at a good price you can always find something to eat....From cereals cooked breakfast fruit ham and cheeses etc....and their paella is good. ....Some entertainment in Summer months mainly Spanish duos x

Brian Lawrie - Probably average at best id say , but for the price its worth it , hotel is clean enough , in a great area (up a hill a wee bit ) and the food was ok , ok its not the Nereo or the Ambassador , but its still a good hotel , many a lot worse in Benidorm .

Debbie Spencer - We stayed at Mont Park last year. Prime location at the end of Levante Beach by burger king. Rooms were good. I particularly didnt like the food there but my husband did. Im a little fussy thats all. Would definitely stay there again though. We are coming again in a few weeks but staying self catering. Cant wait.

Ian Evered - Stayed there last week it ok.. free wifi, rooms ok as long as you get one at front of hotel, evening meal ok not so keen on breakfast though.. beware of cardiac hill though,

Suzie Smith - Honest opinion it is crap ? horrible rooms horrible food horrible pool .. wouldn't stay there again if they paid me x

    Review by Shelly Jones
Home now after our 3 night stay at Mont Park and we really enjoyed it there overall.
For us, it does not compare with where we usually stay (Sol Pelicanos), but then, neither did the price we paid, so unfair to compare the two really.
Our room was very clean, if a little tired looking, but a bonus being on the 2nd floor as we didn’t have to wait for the lift, which was quite small. We had a balcony with a pool and partial sea view.
The biggest downside for us, by far, was the fact that we had single beds, which were fixed to the wall unit, with a bedside table in between, so we couldn’t even push them together!
We never used the TV at all, there was no remote and I’d read in other reviews that you have to ask for the remote at reception and pay a deposit, but we just didn’t bother as I understand the channels are mostly Spanish.
Our en-suite had a bath with a shower attachment but it was very powerful and easy to use, so no complaints there.
Shower gel and soap dispensers were provided, but no individual toiletries.
Enough wardrobe and drawer space for a short break, but possibly not for a fortnight though!
Only 2 power sockets in our room and one of those meant unplugging the tv.
Although we were half board, we actually only had breakfast twice, lunch once and dinner once there, as we like to eat out too. It was ok, but not a huge choice, and vegetarians would struggle. The salad selection was lovely and fresh though. In fact all the food looked fresh and well presented, but I’m a very fussy, semi vegetarian, and only ever had salad and potatoes!
For breakfast I had cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, which was perfect for me. My husband said the cooked breakfast was nice too.
Drinks at the bar were cheap and the pool area was clean with plenty of sun beds. Pool was chilly at first but lovely after the first shock! And in the full sun for most of the day, I think. Certainly for the whole afternoon, when we used it.
Several reviews have mentioned the staff being none too friendly, but we did not experience that at all. They all spoke very good English and were polite, efficient and helpful to us at all times.
The hill up to the hotel was really not too bad! Speaking as an unfit, asthmatic, 62 year old, I didn’t find it an issue! Made me puff a bit, and I wouldn’t be wanting to go any further up the hill than the gates of Mont Park, but I’m sure it must have been doing me good!
The location was very close to the beachfront and only a 5-10 minutes walk to the strip (or a 5.50 Euro taxi fare at 2am, if you can’t face the walk!)
It is a very Spanish hotel, with a lot of Spanish guests, serving food more in keeping with Spanish tastes, but it is in Spain after all! And I fail to see why people find that a negative?
To sum up my very long review (sorry!) - I would stay here again, for 3 or 4 nights, and probably will do, but not for our annual 2 weeks. Purely because of the single beds, to be honest, and the slightly longer walk back from the strip after a long night out!
