Just checked in at the Sol Pelicanos. Single room....my view...Amazing

I was there 2 weeks ago and had a great view of the large pool. Hotel in a great location. Still wouldn’t go back there, food horrible, free for all in dining area, very small single room but clean, whole hotel looks very tired and shabby. Had to pay to hire a kettle and pay a refundable deposit on it. Have stayed there a few times over the years, needs updating. Not one of Benidorm’s top hotels any more but still top price, was very disappointed overall but might just be me 🤷‍♀️

I've stayed here for the past 8 nights and fly home in the morning. It's my 6th stay in this hotel and I can honestly say, I've never known the food to be as bad as what it has been this time around, which is really strange coz last year I'd say it was the best it's ever been!

Fab location and pool area and we have always found the staff to be courteous and friendly.

Overall it's generally clean, although some areas appear tatty and dated, including the bedrooms in Sol Pelicanos (Ocas rooms are fresher looking).

The other thing that lets this hotel down big time is the evening entertainment. We have popped in to a few other hotels during our stay here as we are looking at somewhere else to stay next year. It's a shame coz we've loved all our hols at the Sol Pel but they need to up their game with all the competition that's around.

Good location, however staff are very rude at this hotel and the food is very poor so wouldn’t bother with a food package. Pool area very nice.

We have just returned from there today, pools are open until about 5pm but they're a bit cool, fine once your in though …. We have had the best week.
Hotel, staff and food were all fab we found that the lunch time buffet was better than the evening, but couldn’t fault anything …. Enjoy your trip

I want to give a big shout out to the staff here - just been for 6 days and think a lot of the negative reviews are unfair.

I was in room 420 - spacious room with LCD tv - clean modern equipped and house cleaned daily.

The food was in my opinion ( I am a chef ) was superb and had great choice - variety and was well presented

Shellfish
Caviar
Paella
White asparagus
Slow cooked beef
Paprika artichoke’s
Rib eye steak
And plenty of local hams and cheese
Plus some epic wines and of course chilled beers
We only paid 22£ per person for 6 dinners half board - amazing value ( jet 2 half board promotion )
Breakfast time same again really decent choices with fresh honey - proper fruit juices and cooked to order omelette’s
Never laughed so much at people getting bread stuck in toasters
Only thing I will say is I think the staff are a few members short but big respect for turning up to work and doing your best.

We stayed there in the summer and thought it was shocking! The queues for the sunbeds are ridiculous you have to get up and queue an hour before they even open the gates and then people literally race and sprint to get a bed, the food isn't good at all. Even the chips are overcooked oven chips, the choices looked inedible and just not appealing at all and the staff are rude. Also the key card stops working 50x a day and it's a nightmare waiting at reception for them go sort it as again there's massive queues and your waiting around for ages!

We stayed at the sol pelicanos April last year, breakfast was always good in the terms of what we call normal food, we were a bit restricted in the evening for dinner as there wasn’t much to choose from (not fussy eaters) but a bit repetitive so we ended up eating out a few nights in the week.

The others I was with had stayed here before and said it used to really good in the evening for dinner but could see a big change and it was worse than it had previously been, many found plenty to eat again I think it depends on your preference as I’m not into certain cheeses and olives etc. always tried things before I dismissed it, the kids corner of pizza etc always seemed a bit dried out like it had sat for a while or tasteless but again could be due to the time we went down at.

Snack bar at the pool was really good and as for the drinks there were certain items you had to pay for above your all inclusive, they do plastic bottles of water for free but when we asked for water at dinner we had to pay for it as it was in glass bottles however was only something like €2. The free wine at dinner was a great selection too. If I’m honest it’s trial and error to find out your own preferences.

In the sol pelicanos now on my second week and the room is nice and modern and has been cleaned with fresh towels every day I am really enjoying the food and the staff are great.

Pelicanos is overpriced and overrated. The only decent thing is the pool area, but it’s not heated so wouldn’t be any use winter time.

Sol Pelicanos was spot on. Amazing staff, and immaculate room. Food was average, you wouldn't starve though. I only had breakfast in the end. Cheap enough to ear out

I am not a fussy eater and will try lots of new food, for the price paid I expected better. It was edible, but not necessarily enjoyable It is however cheap enough to eat out. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the pool area fantastic though, for me when it was cheap enough to find decent food that was worth it

We have been 3 time this year here and we had a great time twice being 4 of us then 10 of us went we had an amazing time here the breakfast so much to choose from rooms were clean and nice and the staff were amazing cannot fault it at all and will be back in March then June with family

Hey guys just back from the beautiful Benidorm stayed at the sol Pelicanos and I do have mixed reviews about my stay let's start with the bad the food was not great standard there was a variety of choice for adults if you wasn't a fussy eater however it wasn't always hot sometimes only luke warm and on 2 occasions the pork was raw as well as this the only choice for children was pizza the second negative there were 2 bar man that just had no clue 1 of them was just pure rude and the other continuously got drink orders wrong. The pool bar can't be used by all-inclusive guests it's a paid for bar only.
However, rooms were lovely cleaning staff did a really good job and the pool best I've ever seen despite it being cold. Entertainment staff especially zuli and Patricia always made it fun both very talkative and engaging the night-time entertainment was so much better when they were performing or hugely involved with it.
