Myself and some family members stayed at this hotel in July this year for 10 nights.
Positive points-
Rooms are clean and a good size.
Bathroom with bath, shower and his & her sinks.
There was a clothes extension cable by the bath, which goes the full length of the bath.
Mini fridge with free welcome drinks.
Beds super comfy.
There is Air Con and windows that open very widely.
Very close to mini markets, cloths shops, bars and an excellent choice for places to eat, which we did and was not disappointed.
This hotel is perfectly close to the beach...literally right opposite the beach front.
Hotels food I'd rate as a 3+....breakfast was absolutely fine and a decent range, but always noticed the bacon isnt quite bacon in the hotel, but when you've gone for a wonder around eateries along the beach front, we went to various cafes that do a cooked breakfast with actual bacon.
The rest of the food is a bit hit and miss if your a picky eater, although there is still a decent variety from fish dishes to meat eaters and lovely salads.
Always found the staff friendly and polite.
Downside....none of the rooms have balconies which I did know this when I booked the hotel however, I didn't realise how much I miss a balcony, especially if like me you've got items of clothing that you want to dry.
We went to the roof top bar most nights which has fantastic views, but we noticed the leather seats were cracked in a few places, there's no music played on roof top bar so we ended up using our mobile phones to play radio stations.
Basically the roof top bar could use some TLC to jazz it up.
If you smoke or vape then you cannot do this in your room as there are smoke alarms and as there is no balcony you will have to go out of he hotel.

Have been there a few years ago,one of the best hotels we stayed in Benidorm,a pitty that there issent a balcony on the rooms..

I like the food although tables squashed together no balcony and not many seats downstairs in hotel to sit if weather is chilly for amount of people in hotel but just across road from beach

Absolutely no customer service from this hotel. They respond to public forums advising you to make contact with them to resolve an issue and then ignore all emails - at the end of the day without customers they wouldn’t have a business

Stayed twice, good food lovely staff, no balconies but huge picture windows with beds facing the sea, nice pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc entertainment area in a sort of basement bar and not really a proper lounge area but overall good oh and in quiet part right on sea front.

Just back. Would recommend. Food was your standard all inclusive and could get a bit repetitive. You can always find something though and was of a high standard. Branded drinks and rooftop bar was a plus. The only downside was no balcony.

loads of bars nearby, when you come put of the hotel- if you turn left, there are a few reasonably priced bars right outside. Or if you keep walking left up the beachfront there's lots of choice.

Stayed here in April. Lovely hotel and the food is nice, only a mall pool but a little suntrap. The sun terrace has amazing views of beach and out to sea. The only fault is there are no balconies.

I'm in villa del mar and the service, food, views, drinks.. everything.. is beautiful. No balconies, but the whirlpool rooms and rooftop bar along with outdoor pool, kids slash pool and indoor pool/spa MORE than make up for it. Right on the beachfront, beautiful bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. I know a few who think it's a little pricey, but in my opinion, worth every single penny x

We’ve been going to the Villa del Mar for 10 years and yes it is lovely. The roof terrace is great, but it depends on the time of year you go as the bar isn’t always open.

The standards of food and service are great but they have gradually gone downhill each year and the entertainment is dreadful.

If you’ve never been before you’ll probably think it’s fantastic but corners have most definitely been cut there and the price doesn’t reflect this.

I stayed at the Villa del Mar last year.
Excellent hotel, good food, friendly staff beach front location.
If you are fit & healthy then it is a pleasant walk through the old town & along the beach front to get to the main strip for the nightlife.
You can always get a taxi back however late you want to stay out.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times! Lovely rooms, staff friendly food was good when I stayed ! Great location but sadly prices have now gone way passed my budget
