BENIDORM CASINO

What about trying your luck in the casino?  Quite a popular evening activity but it is also open during the day.  located in the nerve center of the city of Benidorm, on Avenida del Mediterráneo.

 

The biggest gambling activity is concentrated on the ground floor, with slot machines, American Roulette, Black Jack tables, Point and Bank, Poker and Texas Hold’Em. It also highlights its “Juegging (play) Zone” with sports betting terminals and large television screens.

A wide range of entertainment, in addition to its first floor a “Tournament Room”, a space shared with magnificent exhibitions to delight the many visitors who spend every day for it.

The setting is sophisticated the the facilities top-notch, smart clothes are required, No sports/beach clothes, flip flops, shorts above the knee or sleeveless t-shirts.  Also take your passport with you for ID (in order to prove legal age, it is strictly forbidden for minors to enter).  There is a €3.00 joining fee.

OZONE BOWLING CENTRE

There is a nice bowling alley located on AVENIDA MEDITERRÁNEO, Nº 22, EDIFICIO MIRAMAR PLAYA, (one block from Playa Levante). It also has recreation rooms and restaurants. The bowling is designed for all ages and abilities incorporating bumpers for younger and inexperienced players.

There are also various slot machines, pool and football tables available.

RINCON DEL LOIX CINEMA

IF THE weather is a little unsettled and you are looking for something to do inside, then what about going to the cinema.  You can catch an English language film at the Cine Colci Rincon, on the Avd Zamora, which is located on the road facing the Round Town Travel shop and just behind the private IMED Levante hospital.

Every week the cinema shows an English original version film – with 2 viewing times each evening. They do vary but the first screening is usually either 6:00pm or 6:30pm – but check beforehand. Entrance prices are –

  • Normal entry: € 6.50 (7 € 3D movies)
  • Day of the spectator: € 5.00 (€ 5.50 3D films)
  • Over 65 or young card (Monday to Thursday, except holidays): € 5.00 (€ 5.50 3D movies

LA MARINA SHOPPING CENTRE

The perfect place to escape the rain, La Marina mall, just a few minutes drive from the town center. La Marina in Finestrat is the largest shopping center in the Benidorm area of Spain, and is popular with both Spaniards and visitors. Known as ‘Centro Comercial La Marina’ in Spanish, La Marina shopping complex has more than 100 stores and restaurants, selling everything from clothing, shoes and jewelry to household products, childrens’ toys and mobile phones. If you’re staying in the Benidorm area of Spain and love to shop, a trip to La Marina is a necessity.

BENIDORM SPORTS CENTRES

Benidorm has two main sports centres with excellent sports facilities;

‘Polideportivo Municipal’ run by the local council in the neighbourhood of Foietes, which boasts an Olympic swimming pool and a leisure pool, an athletics track, tennis courts, a climbing wall, football pitches and numerous other sports facilities.

‘Palacio de Deportes L’Illa de Benidorm’ in the area known as ‘Salto del Agua’ in the north of the city. Here you can find, among other things, an Olympic swimming pool, as well as a pool for learners, tennis courts, squash courts and a gym.

TAPAS ALLEY – BENIDORM OLD TOWN

If you are fed up with pie & chips and fancy a taste of real Spain then head to Tapas Alley (which is mostly undercover) – so called because the entire street is made up of tapas bars, where you can sample some top quality Spanish Tapas.

The Aurerra Group of eateries are the most established name on the street and have 7 different restaurants to cater for all tastes. There is a constant stream of visitors, both locals and tourists throughout the day, but it gets particularly busy in the evenings. BENIDORM INDOOR MARKET

If you enjoy buying inexpensive things in a friendly environment, pop into the Mercaloix Indoor Market.

There’s something for everyone here: clothes, shoes, accessories, electronics, toys, jewelry, personalized gifts, books, local farm produce, money exchange booths hairdressers, property rental agents and a few stands selling snacks and refreshments.

Mercaloix Indoor Market is located in the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm.

and has 3 wheel chair friendly entrances, one is next to the Mas y Mas Supermarket and opposite KFC,  another one is next to the  Hotel Pelicanos, and another opposite the Hotel Nereo

The Indoor Market is open from:

8am till 6pm Mon – Friday

8am till 3pm Saturday
