Gill Reynolds - 23rd June 2018
Estudios Apartments but ask for the renovated block, 15 euros a night more than the other but worth it. We left yesterday, first time in apartment, usually go in 4* hotels for fiestas and Christmas but think it will be Estudios in future.

We stayed in May 2017, it best to upgrade to what they call luxury apartments. We didn't hear much noise through the night but brilliant people watching from veranda and central position.

Caleb - Stayed here for a week at the end of May. First time we stayed at EStudios we had a basic studio in block 2 but this time we decided to go for a Superior Studio and they are much better. They are all in block 1 on the first two floors.

Check in was quick and the receptionist was friendly and spoke perfect English. I had requested a corner studio a few weeks before arrival via email as they have larger balconies and we got a corner one. There is a €60 breakages deposit to pay on arrival and this was refunded on check out after the room had been checked. The safe was €16 for the week and we got €6 back. Wifi was free and for the most part it worked well.

The room we stayed in was quite large and very clean. It was modern with two single beds, double wardrobe and two bedside cabinets with two drawers. There was a flat screen tv on the wall but we didn't use it. There was aircon which worked great once we found the right setting!! A small but modern kitchen with fridge freezer and two ring hob and plenty of utensils. The bathroom was large, clean and modern. We had a shower over the bath which was great. I noticed in a couple of reviews that people had mentioned that the water temperature went from cold to boiling hot but we never had this problem in our room. The water temperature stayed at what you set it at.

We had a large balcony overlooking the street below and as it was a corner room you could also see up the other street. There was a table and 2 chairs and a clothes dryer. They are great for people watching.

We had clean towels twice in our weeks stay and the bedsheets were changed once. The room wasn't cleaned though. There is a mop and bucket and brush in the bathroom so I gave it a quick brush and mop a couple of times.

One thing I would mention is that if they want to keep these studios 'superior' then they would need to keep on top of a few minor things. Couple of cracks in the wall could be filled in and a touch up of the paintwork and the grouting around the bath etc. Minor things but doing these small jobs would keep them superior over the other studios.

The area where the EStudios is situated gets very noisy, especially at night until about 1am but this has to be expected when you have a great location in the old town. It's not too bad when you are inside with the patio doors closed.

You have to bring your own rubbish bags up to the bins on the 6th floor but this isn't a problem. Get the lift up and back down again.

Check out was quick and as previously mentioned you get your deposits back after the room has been checked (as long as you didn't break anything!).

We have already booked to stay at EStudios in October and have booked another superior studio. They are well worth the little extra that you have to .

Caleb - Stayed here for 6 nights in October 2016 for my partners 40th Birthday. This was our 3rd stay in Estudios.

Check in was quick and the receptionist was friendly and spoke good English. I had requested a corner superior room but there was none available. We were in the one beside where we stayed in May (a corner one that I had requested). There is a €60 breakages deposit to pay on arrival and this was refunded on check out after the room had been checked. The safe was €16 for the 6 days and we got €6 back. Wifi was free and for the most part it worked well.

The room we stayed in was smaller than the previous superior studio but it was clean and modern (for a 2star). There was two single beds, double wardrobe and two bedside cabinets with two drawers. There was a flat screen tv on the wall but we didn't use it. There was aircon which worked great once we found the right setting!! A small but modern kitchen with fridge freezer and two ring hob and plenty of utensils. The bathroom was quite small and when I first went into it there was a cockroach running around the floor. This was soon dealt with!! The shower was good with plenty of hot water but for the first time I was able to see what other reviewers meant by going from warm to Very hot water. I take a warm shower but if I'd taken hot showers I would say the water would be scalding when it decides to shoot out warmer water, this is unacceptable as you could easily end up burnt. Also the shower curtain did not go the whole way around the shower and the floor got soaked every time we used it. There was a mop and bucket though so you could soak up the water. I'm surprised water doesn't leak into the apartments below. The balcony in the apartment was very small and there wasn't even room on it for a clothes dryer which isn't good. There was a table and 2 chairs. They are great for people watching though.

We only had clean towels once during our stay and the room wasn't cleaned at all. There was no change of bedding either. There is a mop and bucket and brush so I had to give the apartment a clean myself. I know it's a self catering apartment but it should still be cleaned with fresh bedding at least once during a weeks stay.

I would mention that if they want to keep these studios 'superior' and ask for more money for them then they would need to keep on top of the few faults I have mentioned. There was a couple of cracks in the wall that could be filled in and a touch up of the paintwork etc. The lighting is also not good, a change of bulbs would sort this out. Minor things but doing these small jobs would keep them superior over the other studios.

The area where the EStudios is situated gets very noisy, especially at night until about 1am but this has to be expected when you have a great location in the old town. It's not too bad when you are inside with the patio doors closed. Our patio doors didn't lock which is another thing that needs sorted.

You have to bring your own rubbish bags up to the bins on the 6th floor but this isn't a problem. Get the lift up and back down again. There's a €20 fine on your last day if you don't do it!

Check out was quick and as previously mentioned you get your deposits back after the room has been checked (as long as you didn't break anything!).

This was my 3rd stay at EStudios (2nd time in a superior one). I would stay again but due to the few things I have mentioned above I can't give it a 5 star review this time (i gave it one the last time). I would say this stay is more of a 3 star experience.

Louise Sarah Anderson - We have stayed here once before! Probably would again, it depends what you want from it. It's basic, clean, and quiet. It's a cheap and cheerful place, staff were nice. We just wanted somewhere clean to put our heads down and that's exactly what it did. Xxxx

It's ideal for the beach! you do get what you pay for, it isn't luxury BUT it's clean , basic and safe, quiet and ideally located for pubs and bars. It is technically old town but only a 5 minute walk along the front to new town nightlife.

Melanie Appleyard - Hi we have stayed st the estudio apartments last year we paid extra for a superior room they are very clean and comfortable but basic. We enjoyed our stay and would use them again.

Larry Browne - I've stayed in estudios twice, as stated above the superior rooms are better, I will be staying here again, the price for what you get is hard to beat, very clean, plenty of towels, great part of town and right by the beach.

Angela Watson - Estudios are fine. Clean. Lovely staff. Brilliant location. I've stayed in loads of 4 star hotels in benidorm and quite a few apartments and estudios is my favourite, mainly for its location.

Little bit dated but I find its like that for most apartments. The pizza shop next door is worth a visit on your way home.
