Lovely hotel by Shelley Roberts, 15 September 2019 Well just returned from a very hectic week. 21 of us in total overlapping days. It’s been a blast, even the weather hasn’t dampened our spirits but must mention the Helios hotel. Only did b&b but the food was fantastic, the place is spotless and overall a lovely hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. One of our party had his birthday whilst there and they left a bottle of champagne and message in his room. We hadn’t mentioned it so can only assume they noticed it when checking our passports at check in.

Fantastic Location by Paul Brind, 24 November 2018 Great hotel and fantastic location: near enough to the nightlife but far enough away so you can sleep. We generally only stay at the Presidente or the Helios.

Just back from my first trip to Benidorm and it was fantastic. We stayed in the Helios Hotel and I can safely say it is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff, each and every one of them, were so friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are very spacious and each has a fridge. They even provide you with complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste, comb, shower caps etc.
Room serviced every day and clean towels provided ! The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach/promenade and 2-3 minute walk to the strip so far enough back from the hustle and bustle. Approx 15 mins walk to the old town which is beautiful too. The Helios hotel has everything you could ask for and I would highly recommend it. We will definitely return!!

We stayed there in October and January and loved it, so much so that we're going back on Thursday for Easter. Great location but still quiet of a night. The restaurant is lovely as are the rooms.

Review by Hugh S Murdoch by Admin, 25 October 2017 Good hotel, good food, don't go to restaurant at 7:30 as busy with early eaters, we waited until 8 pm no problems.

Review by Sheila Wilson by Admin, 25 October 2017 Excellent hotel in a great location. Only thing that put me off was at dinner time, huge queues started to build outside the restaurant from 6.30 for it opening at 7.15. Got a bit fed up with that and ended up eating out during our second week. Otherwise it can't be faulted x

Review by Paul Brind by Admin, 30 September 2017 Excellent hotel; everything about it, except the food maybe. It was often cool or cold, in saying that it hasn't put us off as we're back there 2 weeks today.

Members reviews by Admin, 15 July 2017 Martin Mogridge Beautiful hotel great room a brilliant heated pool but I thought the choice of food was poor but I've also been told since they have had a refurb that if you want a pool view room you have to pay extra martin who is on reception is great with his clients and makes you most welcome.
Joanne Stocks Lovely clean hotel. Really nice rooms with a spa bath. Not sure if all the bathrooms have this though. Food was very nice. I know that the reception area and pool area have just been renovated.
Laura Ward Brilliant hotel. Well placed for clubs and bars etc, although I've never noticed any noise at night. Literally less than 5 minutes walk down to Levante beach. I've found service here is always impeccable and staff are always helpful and courteous including the very helpful restaurant manager. Food good and varied. plenty of sun-beds around the pool. Rooms clean and well appointed and very spacious and firm comfortable beds. Also the Sunday market is literally just around the corner! Looking forward to seeing the new renovations when I return at Easter. All in all a great hotel. 9/10
Mel Cliff Fantastic hotel , near to the nightlife yet the hotel is very quiet . Five minute walk to the beach. The rooms are lovely and modern, spacious as well. I found entertainment to be hit and miss on each occasion I've stayed here, but there is plenty of entertainment on your doorstep and to be fair it's the same in most hotels . Nice clean pool and bar area, plenty of sun-beds . The food is on the whole very nice , on the odd occasion I've struggled to find something to put together but I can't say I've ever gone hungry .
Myra Bardini I was there in October, brilliant hotel staff very helpful and friendly hotel rooms cleaned every day food was brilliant always catered for everyone, will be going back there very soon marks out of ten 11 top very enjoyable stay xx
Diane Rae Gubb Its a while since I stayed but found it to be very clean & spacious rooms. The food was good & even a few Spanish dishes were available. They had their own hairdresser at the time, don't know if its still there. The pool area was ok but no sun until late morning! 8/10
Jackie Stanley Our fave hotel in Benidorm - warm friendly atmosphere - very spacious rooms with walk in shower or some have jacuzzi bath/shower...good free WIFI even on 8th floor! - fridge can be hired - Air Con is brill - very clean and the food is plentiful and varied - not the best presentation but all well cooked and tasty.. the nightly entertainment is mostly geared to Spanish guests but they just starting to have better acts eg The Blues Brothers !! Location cannot be better - 5 mins to all the best clubs/bars, beach and market but never any noise at night... the hotel has just re-opened after a refurb of the reception and entrance areas. I like the pool area as its quite private and the gardens are lovely - never had any prob getting sunbed.
We always asked for pool view but have since learned thats when its red hot weather you are much better off on the other side as the air con works better and the sun isnt heating the room up all day! also the WIFI works in your room ( 7th floor ! )
My mark is 9/10
Jackie Stanley Just wanted to add that this hotel caters for disabled folk very well... the lifeguard at the pool takes brilliant care of you if you want to have a dip in the pool - there is a special chair and as the pool slopes - he can just wheel you in etc
Margaret Ferrier Been there two years running and would definately go back.
Sharon Love Stay every year brill hotel.
May Clark Lovely rooms, great location. Rooms were a pretty decent size, and modern. spotless. The food was the usual hotel food nothing exceptional. we found the staff pretty helpful. The only down side was the entertainment. When we were there it wasnt the best. Having said that there is so much about to go and see. 8/10
Carole Lingard - Had a fab weeks holiday at the Hotel Helios. Great weather, good food. Got back home 3pm yesterday. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is also great for the disabled in the fact the one side of the swimming pool is a slope so the pool attendant can wheel them in to cool of and give them a swim he stays with them all the time in the pool. Would definitely stay here again.x
Julie Handley - Helios is one of our favourite hotels. The location is perfect as it's close to bars, restaurants and cabaret clubs but is still very peaceful at night. The rooms and bathrooms here are very big and well decorated. The staff are some of the most helpful we have ever known. The food is very good indeed with plenty of choice. This hotel is particularly good for wheelchair users with adapted rooms available (contact must be made directly with the hotel). There is even access to the pool for disabled guests with the pool attendant to assist.
We will certainly visit the Helios again.
Karen Hanson - Hotel Helios is a lovely looking hotel in a great location..2 mins to the strip and approx 5 mins to the beach.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Spotlessly clean throughout.
Nice large rooms and bathrooms, ours had a huge walk in shower cubicle with the most powerful shower I've ever used..absolute bliss.
Good air con but you must have the balcony door locked for it to work (it won't work if the door is just closed).
Pool area is lovely although the pool is quite small for the size of the hotel and I imagine in the height of summer it could get quite busy, but it is a walk in one (perfect for guests with mobility problems) and the life guard Jose is an absolute gem who is always on hand to help guests.
My one and only gripe was the food..it was bland, tasteless, swimming in oil and usually luke warm, but there is a microwave if you want to warm the food up.
Would we go back? Yes..but only if we could go room only or at most B&B.
Room tip..if you want a sunny balcony ask for a pool view room, if you want a lie in ask for a room at the back because every morning between 6 and 7am we were awoken by Manuel and co dragging the plastic tables and chairs back in place.
Amy Syme- Fantastic hotel, great staff, cleaned every day, spotless rooms, in a really fussy eater as well and they're always something for me to eat. You will honestly love it. When you come out the hotel and walk straight down literally 2 mins to beach, next to the outdoor market as well which is a wed and Sunday !! Overall fantastic hope you have a great holiday xxx
Paul Brind - We've stayed there a couple of times and enjoyed it. We're booked to go back in October and again in January. Great tip: don't go for your evening meal as soon as it opens, as the Spanish queue up for half an hour before it does and you struggle to get a table, or there's a 'full' sign at the entrance.
Paul Fearon - Really nice hotel, big modern rooms and a nice new bathroom. Food decent but dont bother trying to go for dinner early as the oldies queue up for ages before it even opens Great location just yards from the square, strip and 5 mins to the beach. Some great bars around you like Surprise Attack and The Sun over the road.
Nix - Brilliant hotel, we stayed for a week B&B, didn't eat breakfast every day as we popped out a couple of days for a full English at the penny farthing which is behind the hotel, breakfast was ok, could find something to eat but not a patch on the penny farthing.
Rooms and all public areas including the pool were very clean and all staff cheerful, friendly and helpful.
The pool is heated and is a lovely temperature and is a "walk in" so ideal if you're a bit lame or wheelchair bound. The pool area has absolutely loads of sunbeds and if you want shade you need to get under the covers provided as the area is bathed in sunshine all day. We never had to fight for a sunbed or a place to put them.
The entertainment was a bit naff with not many staying for it. The people who stayed were a lot older than us and seemed to enjoy it.
The sound proofing between the rooms is a bit bad and we had a group of lads for the weekend who were a pain but it didn't spoil anything.
The location of the hotel was ideal for us, next door to jokers who have some fab entertainment and just around the corner from cafe Benidorm and other great places to eat and drink and a short walk to the beach.
If we come back to Benidorm we wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Helios again but would do room only next time.
