The hill can be a little tiresome, but not as bad as people say. I would take the next hill around the corner as it is not so steep.
We took our 15 yr old and 11 year old. Our youngest moans about walking up hills, just generally anything that requires him to move his feet, but even he didn’t moan about the hill. We couldn’t do it all in 1 go, but we started off at the bottom, kind of stopped at the second lamp post half way up for a minute then carried on.
It is a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff who cannot do enough for you. Very clean hotel and the maids do a fab job. We left her a nice tip when we was there a few weeks ago.
Just returned from our 2nd stay here. Nothing has changed, its still a lovely place to stay. We booked a standard double room & it was enormous. Very clean, bed & towels changed regularly, fridge, kettle & hairdryer in the room. Food is excellent, something for everyone. My husband is the irritating, fussy Brit that wants English food in Spare, even he was impressed. Excellent hotel for family, lots to do for kids & the staff are very friendly. The hill up to the hotel, cardiac hill, is a killer but you can get a taxi for a couple of €. We saved quite a lot by booking direct with the hotel. Definitely worth a stay.
Just returned from a fab break at this hotel. It was fantastic for a family friendly holiday with great kids entertainment, animation staff and kids club. Coupled with the fabulous adults only rooftop bar and branded spirits on all inclusive there really was something for everyone. Food was good and kids very happy with ice creams and slushies whenever they fancied. We had a double family room which has no balcony which might not suit everyone but with little ones it actually suited us. The hill really was no problem and we were up and down it a couple of times a day without issue.

Stayed at magic rock last week and loved it and my grandchildren and friends they made were extremely good and couldn’t fault anything. We had a fourth floor front master family suite with two huge rooms and an amazing big balcony with table and chairs on and two sun loungers.

Magic aqua rock gardens yuk
I’ve stayed in around 15 Benidorm hotels of all grades not enjoying this one it’s tacky full of poorly behaved children who’s parents seem happy to let them run wild the pool is in shade most of the day with scant sun beds not enough staff manning the bars a horrible smell of some cleaning fluid they use everywhere makes your eyes water lifts so slow they may as well not be there nowhere to sit should you manage to get a drink tables not cleared for hours it really is an ugly hotel good things – drinks are branded and good beds are very comfortable rooms dated tho food not bad shower is good the sister hotel Villa de Benidorm nicer and where we spent our time can’t recommend

I can remember going here a couple of years ago food is absolutely fantastic staff are amazing really clean the hill isn’t that much of a problem plus if you are all inclusive you can use the hotel chains over resorts there was also a bus that took you to the mountains to their water park really really fantastic value for money could not fault anything the amazing views from the rooftop terrace with bar and hot tub was amazing kid free as well which is always a plus.
Stayed last year family room with balcony can’t fault it everything 100% food staff great location best hotel I have stayed in and the hill not to bad
Stayed here nice hotel , only thing I didn’t like was there was no balcony, and beds in same room . Apart from that was fab staff lovely , food nice . Even though we were all inclusive we only ever had breakfast, but we did take advantage of the bar lol. Hill not that bad 5 min walk tops . Go up hill buy subway and McDonalds . 5min from beach. Would definitely stay again. X
Being staying here for 5 years with my kids we love its location. Some moan about the hill it honestly isn’t that bad unless you have mobility issues. Staff are fantastic nothing to much trouble.. rooms are cleaned daily fresh towels and bedding. You only get a balcony if you book master suites doesn’t bother us as were not really in room much.. pool is cold but great for cooling off and you used to it quick.. all branded drinks and you can use the sister hotels too with free shuttle bus. Never had an issues with food always find something and my daughter is fussy.. all in i love it. Better still as no stag and hen bookings allowed and pool is for guests only.. cant wait to get back.
I stayed in magic aqua last year and although the pool is freezing it is a great pool area for adults and children. The sun is out but unfortunately due to high risers all around it you have to spend the day chasing the sun. Great holiday vibe at the pool area though. Pool bar, and big tv playing summer music all day, great staff around the poolside who join in games with the kids. Rooms are rubbish and tiny with no balcony’s and it’s a very dark hotel and the staff are not very friendly. Food is the same as any hotel food anywhere in Benidorm x
I am staying here now, been here since Wednesday with my 10 year old son. Hotel is lovely, and all the staff are so friendly. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed and tea and coffee replenished in your room. The food is amazing and certainly something for everyone. I thought not having a balcony was going to be an issue but it’s not too bad, there is a pull out washing line in the bathroom so I’m still able to dry off towels etc. The only downside I’ve found so far is the pool….it is freezing!!! It has been too cold for us to get in (maybe I’m just too soft ha) but the beach is literally 2 minutes walk away (down the hill haha) and the sea has been lovely and warm this week. I don’t think u will be disappointed, it’s a lovely hotel. Enjoy your holiday.
Just home from this hotel yesterday place is amazing loved it. The pool is rather cold but you can use you pass and go to 6 other hotels there’s also a bus that takes you to all the hotels you can eat and drink there all day..the hill isn’t that bad and there’s anther road down to beach, roof top bar is amazing the cocktails are brill all named spirits, food is amazing staff great hotel spotless we been several times you will enjoy it 😎
Linda Morgan – We stayed at magic rock first time we came to Benidorm on 2010. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, pool area is fab, good choice of food for lunch and evening meals, (never made it for breakfast. Only problem is, the hotel is a little far out, at the top of cardiac hill!! On the plus side, we used to wander down to villa Benidorm next to Morgans as we could use our hotel cards for all inclusive drinks there before heading to the rest of the bars for the night. X Hotel 10, location, 3.
Lorraine Middleton – Nice hotel was there last May. Downfall don’t have balcony’s also up a steep hill. Fridges and kettles in every room. .Food was good and if you missed breakfast you were able to go to the snack bar to which the breakfast was put to. Has rooftop adults only bit was only opened for 4hrs waterslide were not always on as didn’t have enough staff. also you can use any of the chain hotels. Would go back if they had balconies hope this is helpful. Hotel 8 Location 4 .cant comment on entertainment as we went out every night x
Tracy Heathcock stayed last Oct liked the rooms only went for breakfast once snacks are good enjoyed other meals drinks good measures bar manager English name Geoff nice chill out adult area hot tub slides good for kids pool area a bit small, having a kettle and fridge in your room was good also using Magic Villa for a drink sitting on their sun terrace with your all inclusive card also used Magic Cristal – when up the old town x. It is on a bit of a hill but only steep from the Mount Park convenient for Triangle bars, can’t comment on entertainment as I’m out every night but booked up again yesterday. for end of May so hotel I would give 9 out of 10 location 6. due to the hill but hasn’t put me off xx
Vince Lucas – Use the magic group nearly every year and send many people there Magic Rock is the best for food staff are great and there is always something for everyone even the most awkward person would recommend it to anyone only issue is cardiac hill but taxis cheap enough.
Lynbmw -This hotel was great I stayed here Sept/Oct 2015 with my two kids aged 6&9. Upon arriving you do have to go up a hill ( not a mountain) some people just like to make a mountain out of a mole hill.. it’s a steep incline but perfectly manageable. The hotel itself is set in an African theme the reception staff were friendly and helpful the reception area is large with a bar and snacks. If your all Inc it’s all free Cocktails etc the hotel is pretty confusing lay out wise it takes a good few days to figure it all out but it’s fun lol…
The room were lovely fresh and modern in like a zebra colored furnishing n balcony in the normal rooms tbh I was quite glad as I took the worry away about kids safety etc great big deep bath plus cracking shower. There is a wee clothes line also in the bathroom free toiletries o and kids loves the bidet lol hairdryer also in bathroom very clean and replenished and clean everyday. Rooms have 32 flats screen TV with some British channels free WiFi throughout whole hotel even at the pool you have kettle tea etc in room also small fridge with free water everyday, giant beds are great there is air con and ceiling fan more than adequate . Loved our room 516 looking out to pool could also see the beach.
The food was great plenty of choice from African Virgin the main 1 open from 7am til 11pm with huge choice of food if you can’t find something here I don’t know what’s wrong with you even have hp brown sauce lol poolside snack bar opens at 11am still serving all breakfast food til about 1 in case you miss upstairs also burgers hot dogs chips and plenty more beer and wine on tap here so help yourself.. then another restaurant upstairs near the pool but we didn’t try here as we only found it on our last day and doesn’t open til 8pm. But so much to choose from plenty drinks to choose from too all you can ask for also slush puppies for kids chic milk my kids loved if you fancy fast food burger king mcdonalds & subway are all literally just down the road.
The pool is cold but perfect for cooling you down on roasting days the waterpark is also a hoot take note as it’s part of the magic group you go the reception and get your free tickets to aqua natura and pre book your pack lunch the night before all free if your ultra all Inc. .. I loved the pool area. there is a normal bar there too you can walk in dry or swim up to in pool great staff very friendly.
Overall highly recommend this hotel in fact I’ve already booked for may cannot weight. Right next to beach everything nearby perfect hotel for me there are loads more facilities within I just didn’t use due to young kids.. maybe in may.
Lynne Devlin – It was fab my 2nd time there and defo going bk I love the place.. kids club with a soft play pool really safe life guards watch closely and plenty room at night for kids to run about.. also kids entertainment at poolside bar.
Then under the rocks opposite pool bar is a quieter bar with entertainment too.. you will have a ball if u fancy a change for food try grand national down the hill cheap and yummy lasagna ..
Taylor Lou – We where there May bank holiday weekend 1016 and the place in amazing drop you off down bottom of a hill that isn’t to bad of a walk up, food is good, staff are friendly.. The adult only roof top terrace is amazing (very peaceful). 5 minute walk from Levante beach and about 10 minute walk to main strip.
Sian Kenure –
I went with my hubby and children and only thing we could complain about was the lifts lol, there’s all types of food, the breakfast was lovely, and I got rather excited at the seafood salad bar on one of the nights, the pool was cold but we went in Oct so wouldn’t be hot anyway, staff so friendly and helpful, ‘cardiac hill’ is hard with suitcases and pushchair but gets easier as the days go on, we’ll definitely return xx
Stacey Kenny – Food was amazing. Branded drinks fantastic. A bit of a hill but me and my 50+ mother managed fine and I’m unfit so I really didn’t find it an issue. We went up and down in the lifts multiple times trying to find our room lol so listen to the receptionists directions. Have fun xx
Nicole Carroll. June 2017 – If your on a low floor take the stairs as much as possible as the lift are incredibly slow and mostly full by the time they reach u? if u want to sunbathe best get down to the pool early with your towel as the sun doesn’t stay for that long at about 4pm the sun is completely gone? the pool is freezing as it doesn’t get the sun for long my little girl (3) wouldn’t go in it but there’s a Jacuzzi up beside the big slides it’s lovely and warm.. There’s a machine behind the big old wooden table and chairs at reception and that’s where u book your trips to the other hotels, robin hoof etc. The 1st bus leaves at 11:20 and could take up to an hr depending on what hotel u choose to go to and be careful as at that late stage most Of The sunbeds are already occupied. The hill isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be if u go to the other rd to the right of burger king where the stags and hens pub is the walk is so much easier we don’t it with a heavy 3 yr old in a buggy and it wasn’t bad. The beach is literally 2 minutes away and lovely we spent every afternoon there as the pool was too cold and the Jacuzzi got way too crowded.
I found the food good and I’m a horribly picky eater so is my little girl… There was pasta pizza and chips every night which was great for us but they had plenty more dishes and there was always something to eat. I prob would go back but not late in the season as it’s like the hotel crumbled under the pressure of being so busy..the electricity kept going off and loads including my dad was stuck in the lifts for 15 minutes.. The key cards wouldn’t work I’m the doors locking us all put and the lights in the stairs went to we had to feel our way down.
This hotel is 4 minutes walk from the beach. Magic Aqua Rock Gardens is the perfect place for a fun-filled holiday in the sun in Benidorm . It is a 2-minute walk from the beach, and set in tranquil surroundings, just outside the city centre.
Magic Aqua Rock Gardens is located only 150 m from Levante beach, where you can spend the day soaking up the sun and relaxing on the fine sands.
Unwind by the complex’s swimming pool during the day, read a book on the sun loungers surrounding the pool, or enjoy a sleep in the shade. You can then take a dip in the pool to cool off in the hot midday temperatures. Water slides and a hot tub, are available in the summer months.
Ideal for families, the Magic Aqua Rock Gardens is equipped with a children’s play area and an entertainment programme, suitable for both adults and children.
