Entertainment wasn't that bad bud we found ourselves down in the down at the tropical bar just down the road where thay had great live acts all night every night.
Rooms were decent and clean.
Joanne Jackson- a Lovely hotel a little out of the way we would walk into town at night and taxi back bus stops right outside of hotel too x
Jackie Tabbernor - Nice hotel but you could only get your own drinks at the bar 2 per person
Steve Pownall - Stayed there when it first opened lovely hotel virtually opposite Benidorm palace.
Tracy Heathcock had a wonder round last year looked nice but out the way for me some good bars nearby opposite Benidorm palace.
Stephen007 - We were there a few year back for New Year we Loved this low rise hotel the staff were so friendly it was like being part of a big family.
The all inclusive was worth it food good and always hot the Gala Meal was a 7 course dining event everyone dressed for the occasion the entertainment team worked so hard to entertain everyone live shows music games and dancing along with quizzes and bingo too
It's a bit of a walk down to the beach but you can hop on a bus or take a taxi if you want to the walk is good though lots of bars shops restaurants along the way.
Close to Mundomar and Aqualandia in a quite area of BENIDORM and no high rise buildings to block the sun from the pool area. Had an indoor pool and you must use a swimming cap to use it which is fine they sell them if you do not have one. There was a gym but never used it Fantastic hotel Fantastic Holiday defiantly Recommend.
Carol Andrew - We stayed in the hotel for two nights (Friday and Saturday) in mid-January.
Although some people find the location of the hotel too far from the centre of Benidorm (it is opposite Benidorm Palace). I actually quite like this situation. If you do not want to walk, there is a bus into Rincon de Loix, Av Mediterraneo, the old town and the tram station. Reception at the hotel can get you a taxi which I think are very reasonably priced in Benidorm.
There are plenty of places to eat nearby and you are not far from popular entertainment places like Showboat, Tropical Bar, Rock and Roll House etc.
We had a room right by the lift (a disabled access room). It had a good bathroom with a fold down seat in the wheel-in shower.
It was a nice large room but, at times, it was very noisy with people shouting while waiting for or getting out of the lift to go to their room. It faced the street and this added to the noise. Traffic noise was not too bad but again people shouting in the street – especially when Benidorm Palace closes (1-2am).
We only ate breakfast in the hotel so I cannot comment on the other meals. There was the usual breakfast fare but the fried breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages) was swimming in oil and therefore very greasy.
Overall I was very pleased with the hotel except for the €5 a day WiFi charge. This was not a secured connection and not very fast. In my opinion WiFi should be free as it is nowadays in most hotels. The only thing then it would probably be even slower as more people would likely to be using it.
Like most hotels you had to pay for using the room safe. The cost for this was €2.50 a day.
There is a secure underground car park for which they charge €10 a day.
Vanessa Sharpe - LOVE this hotel!!
We have already re - booked for our fourth visit in June at this hotel.
My Partner Dave and myself had previously stayed here as a couple twice, then introduced five of our friends [we holidayed together as a group} and now its become an annual event for us.
The Mediterreano is situated ideally for us, opposite "The Benidorm Palace" and 3 mins walk away from the nearby bars [ Tropical, Sinatra"s, Yorkshire Pride 3, The Showboat and our favourite The Rock "n" roll House and a couple of others]. These bars, entertainment wise play onto 2am so its near enough to go to but far away enough to get a good nights sleep away from the other as i call them "idiot zones" in Benidorm.
Aqualandia and Mundamor are within 10 mins walking distance, as well as the Wednesday and Sunday markets. There is a bus stop opposite the other side of the road for outward journeys costing 1 euro 50 to go anywhere into the centre and old town and on the hotel side in front of the hotel [ literally] a bus stop for journeys further out to Altea etc for the same price.
There is an Iceland store 3-5 mins walk where you can purchase home brand toiletries as well as birthday cards, daily newspapers etc, in the opposite direction towards the Tropical Bar a larger supermarket for most things.
The beach if you choose too takes us 20 - 25 mins leisurely walk away.
The hotel itself firstly you are met by lovely polite, happy English speaking staff who check you in quickly
The rooms are spacious, clean, unfortunately no tea, coffee facilities in the rooms itself large bathroom with bath and shower.
Now onto the food; Breakfast same as anywhere in most hotels, lunch and dinners always fresh, plenty of variety and the specials include Mexican nights, seafood nights, roast dinner at a Sunday lunchtime with proper [ not artificial rubbish] beef and Yorkshires. Desserts too be honest dressed up all fancy but taste the same so don"t bother.
For families plenty of pool games throughout the day including aqua gym, the huge inflatable balls that children walk on the water with. I have known them to now include foam parties by the pool, though not tried ourselves.
Various other activities throughout the day.
Night entertainment really for families with younger children.
If you"re hotel bound and get too hot during the day there is an air conditioned spacious lounge/bar area too.
I tried the gym last year for a day but thought it wasn"t properly maintained and upto date equipment so did not bother for the rest off the holidays.
David Smith - Stayed here a couple of years ago. Booked through alpha rooms and when my daughter and I arrived we were told the booking had been cancelled. After many phone calls between reception and alpha it was all sorted but never used alpha since. The reception staff were brilliant in how they helped and even upgraded our room when it was all sorted. Hotel a bit dated in my opinion but lovely pool area and probably the best quality food I have had at any hotel in Benidorm.
Mike Mccartan - The wife and I go to the Hotel Mediterraneo it is situated opposite the Benidorm Palace it has only 3 floors, the hotel is very clean, towels and rooms cleaned every day, food excellent, staff very good and helpful, children have play area.
Would go nowhere else.
Anita Kelly - We stayed there in may its a lovely hotel very clean lovely staff foods good, good entertainment big apt style rooms with mini fridge great pool area n has indoor pool loved this hotel.
Elizabeth Williams - we've been here 7 years in a row now, best food in any hotel. Very clean, cleaners always cleaning everywhere. Pool is huge and there's a children's pool and indoor pool. Staff are great, change the beds every day, you won't regret it. Cabaret pubs yards away (The Tropical Rock and Roll House & Showboat) Market also down the road and water park just behind the hotel. Enjoy.
Barbara-Jane McIntosh - Mediterraneo it's a bit far out but amazing hotel. Pool is really big and clean, plenty sunbeds and sun all day. Rooms great size. Staff lovely, entertainment at night good and loads on during day. Food is terrific always a great choice. We r just back from dynastic and it wasn't very nice. Rooms are huge but that's it. Pool tiny for size of hotel food not too nice and staff have the worst manners ever(u'd think we were asking them to pay for our AI drinks ). X
Michelle Cooke - I love the mediterraneo lovely food lovely rooms only Spanish tv though if u like tv for the children then not for you they do have a play area for children and I think a club for them to join but very clean water parks just up the hill from hotel x
Wayne Zabel - I personally think that this would be a good hotel for a first visit. Staying slap bang in the middle of "the new town" might be a little overwhelming. We prefer to stay outside and come in as and when. There is more than enough going on at that end anyway, minutes on the bus to avienda Med if you don´t want to walk and about 7 Euros in a taxi back. Best of both worlds.
Stephen Harrison - Excellent hotel yes a long walk to the beach but lots of bars etc on the way. Low rise relatively quite area Benidorm Palace Directly Opposite Aqualandia water park and Mundomar attraction just up the hill great base for a relaxing holiday but close enough to more lively entertainment if your looking for that too it's also a bit of a sun trap watch you don't burn.
Carolyn Cottam . Mediterraneo is lovely. Swimming pool etc. If you are reasonably fit it's an easy walk downhill to the beach. There are supermarkets shops and bars not far . Rock and roll house just a little way down on same side, Levi showboat on opposite side road. also no 10 bus every 15 mins or so goes down past hotel and all the way to the old town only 1.50 euros. Opposite direction will take you to Altea. Enjoy your stay. I have stayed at most of the hotels up that end of Benidorm . Love it .
Trev King - Stayed there with my wife and daughter and we found it to be an excellent little hotel with some of the nicest staff I've encountered in Benidorm the food entertainment and beer are at the higher end of your typical AI hotels but the rooms are very spacious and the pool area never seemed crowded bus stop outside but the beach is well within walking distance and if you get bored with the AI there are some great bars and restaurants 100m down the road
