We stayed in Meila don’t do it food not too good and not private enough as pool open to all x
June Knight – 14th May 2018
Just came home after 11 nights in the Melia for my daughters 40th birthday, and what a great hotel it was, the best we have stayed in, we come 2 or 3 times a year and try different hotels but all 12 of us that stayed there (others stayed other hotels) said the best they have stayed in, it has it all, friendly staff, great food, lovely rooms and the tropical pool is beautiful. I have already booked for September and November next year will definitely be back to the Melia, lovely area x
Gemma Red – 6th May 2018
Here at the Melia hotel excellent hotel. Beautiful rooms, the best swimming pool, lovely staff, and the food is out this world, the food had a bad write up when we looked on the reviews, not sure what people expect but the food is 10/10 top place and we will be returning and will be recommending.

Great hotel, crap food and cold dinner plates, some of staff were miserable!!!! never again and that was 3 weeks ago!!!
Been home 2 weeks. Nice hotel but food was terrible. We were half board. Won’t go back again.
We are here right now , I honestly cannot fault it room gorgeous, food fab , very clean , service brilliant, would like to know where the hill is after a night out lol cause I haven’t seen one yet pmsl 😂 deffo be back 💃🏻
Day one at the Melia. I know people ask about hotels so here’s my review of our first 24 hours here.
Main bar, friendly staff, good selection of drinks and cocktails( was forced to have three before we even went to our rooms, I blame those pesky Canadians lol) but obviously pricier drink
Beds comfy pillows a bit hard but more enforced drinks by those pesky Canadians I didn’t care.
Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t make it
Indoor pool was good
And hotel coffee was good too
Just come back 2 days ago. They have toiletries in room 2 of each shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Food was amazing. Best hotel I have ever been in and I have been to Benidorm at least twice a year for the past 45 years.
The Melia boasts the largest rooms in Benidorm complete with Marble bathroom, exceptional swimming pool area (that I won’t use) with several lagoon type pools – palm trees – quiet areas etc. The food for me is excellent but some don’t rate it. It’s more Mediterranean than British grub. Don’t expect pie and mash each evening. I’m booked on a B&B basis (which I won’t even use) – I much prefer to eat out. An abundance of local eateries nearby. The Melia‘s location is ideal – only ten minutes walk from the main strip.
As a regular guest of this hotel, I am loathe to write this review but here goes. Returned last night from Fiestas week and staying at the Melia, what a change, food was dire, cold and trays not replenished frequently. Room was fine but handle kept falling off wardrobe door, bidet was cracked and led lighting around the bed (big feature in these upgraded rooms) only had about a few inches working. Public areas were not as clean as they should be. Old management have left and hotel seems to be short staffed, took 40 minutes to check in, only 1 member of staff on reception. Doubt I will be back unless they get there act together
I love the Hotel. Well I’m here for a few more days. As I said the food is poor. Last year it was very good. I personally think it’s Bad Management. The staff seemed to be confused. Nice Hotel. Let’s see.
Stayed there in June for 9 nights Lovely room and fabulous outdoor pool and indoor pool and jacuzzi felt staff ignored you if Spanish guests were around and served them first and the food was worst I’ve had in all the hotels I’ve stayed in.
After the ‘hype’ I heard about the Melia I couldn’t wait to try it!! We went last September and I too was disappointed, the dining room was disorganised and overall chaotic!! Would not stay there again, unless they were giving few holidays away if course, then I may reconsider!! Lots of other far superior hotels in Beni!!
Gina Suckling Love the Melia, rooms/food/staff..all brilliant & the pool is fab.. Been in this hotel 3 times. Really good.. I was in there one time with my sister, Weather was awful wet n windy so we stayed in paid for a movie in the room, suddenly this porn movie came on n we didn’t know how to get it off, kept trying ( honest) lol. So rang reception, they sent a young lad, I have never had such a laugh in my life ,, his face,, & he couldny change channel , he kept looking at us saying,,( sorry madam sorry) I had tears ,lolol.. My sister said , Och, just leave it son, brings back memories,,Lololol… Brilliant, 8/10
Pat Ainley love the Melia ! staff are brilliant , foods good , pool area very nice . there is entertainment but we didnt see it . hotel is opp rock n roll house . room was good overlooking pool . i would love to stay there again ! 10/10
Chantel Lauren Hartley AMAZING HOTEL! Been here twice. Once for 2 week, second time 1 week. First time was April-May, my daughter was 10 month old at the time. All staff so friendly and cooing over my daughter, couldn’t do enough for us. Kept coming over to us to make sure everything was fine for us which it was. The rooms/staff/food lovely! Was Elvis week whilst we was there first time also, which we didn’t know about, was good! Second time we went was June-August. Still same service, amazing. The manager who’s name I don’t remember remembered us from our first visit and yet again couldn’t do enough for us. The only thing I did notice was alcohol was a lot stronger in April-May rather than peak season time. Pool is lovely also 10/10 xx
Deborah Tim Barnatt my friends only stay here.. we met them for an afternoon around the pool last year.. very very tranquil and a lovely clean hotel…
Brenda Porter Just been for Xmas and New year and the rooms were ok we were all inclusive the drinks were weak and very limited I managed to find things to eat but my other half didn’t so it cost more over all never again 5/10
Ann Fitzgerald stayed there 4 years ago didn’t like food, didn’t like wine ,used to go supermarket ,to buy bottle ,entertainment was no good 6/10’
Janice Coulter Stayed there many times love it rooms great staff in restaurant not the best but pat in bar upstairs a gentleman .pool area magic 9/10
Alana Dodson FANTASTIC HOTEL. All the rooms overlook the beautiful pool area and are large and comfortable. The swimming pools are set in gardens with Palm and Olive trees and are well tended with plenty of sun beds always available. You can find a shady quiet spot or busy sunny, whatever you want. Definitely the best pools in Benidorm . We love the food, but some guests comment that it is very “Spanish” , where are you! From Snr Escobar, the General Manager and his assistant Estaban and Raul the Guest Manager, all dining room and bar staff are friendly, helpful and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is set in a quiet area but is very close to bars and clubs (Rock and Roll House and the Showboat) so plenty to do. We often stay when the Benidorm series is being filmed and have met lots of the actors who stay there. 10/10 from me.
Steve Rose I stayed here 2 years ago when I first visited Benidorm for my 40th. 13 of us stayed in the hotel and it was first class. I thought the setting, accommodation, pool and food were all great and couldn’t really level a complaint at the place. The only moan I could make about it is that you can only book for 4 nights or more. I’ve tried to get in there a couple of times since for shorter stays but they won’t allow it, which is a real pity. 10/10
Sue Brown – Loved it stayed in May for a week B&B spoilt for choice at breakfast, rooms were large and cleaned daily, the room had a fridge the only thing lacking in my opinion was no coffee/tea making facilities!
Paul Carling Harrison – Great pool area. Too many ignorant Spanish in restaurant. Drinks very pricey. Hotel is great and we have stayed 5 times there. After first time we go room only. Would stay again.
Eileen Johnson – Fantastic pool area, food excellent, tv, fridge & hair dryer in rooms. Rooms cleaned everyday. 5 mins stroll to beach and 5 to the strip. Also very close to some good bars. Staff helpful. Would give this hotel 10 out of 10.
Marie Bryan Sylvester – Great hotel x every where very clean, rooms very nice, staff very polite and helpful and good location for bars, restaurants and shops , also supermarket opposite, stay here a few times and it one of the best hotels in Benidorm.
And also food was good, they also have porters to take your luggage to your room.
Pat Ainley – Love the Melia , rooms are very big , fridge but no kettle , tv , safe , plenty of storage . never heard a sound from other rooms , staff very friendly , lovely pool area and in a great position across from rock n roll house. My only negative comment is we were all inclusive but could never find any snacks , but then again we were out most of the time xx
also free WiFi but only in reception area 9/10.
Paul Smalley – Really smart hotel, best pool in Benidorm, food okay, night entertainment is awful, all inclusive drinks aren’t the best. It is a really nice hotel but feels a little bit ‘businessy’. I’m at the Marina at the moment and it isn’t as smart and the pool isn’t as good but it is more fun due to the choice of entertainment.
Barbara Cargill – nice rooms and balcony ate out because the restaurant was always like a bun fight, seem to have partys off kids outings and nobody controlled them running all over.
Charlie Brown – Melia ticks all the boxes for me. It has character. The food is varied and tasty. The pool area is fantastic and the best in Benidorm (IMO) The palm trees and mini islands are much appreciated. Sun beds are plentiful. The rooms are large and modern with big balconies.
Melia is the best hotel in Benidorm. The accommodation is really spacious, large marble bathroom, big king sized bed, deep balcony, beautiful pool area that actually has character and charm unlike all the other hotels in Benidorm that have a rectangle pool and people crammed together like Sardines. Food is plentiful and tasty with numerous live cooking stations. Melia every time for me.
Raychel Devine Hotel Melia is lovely, in a great position & newly refurbished . Stayed in March with the girls ( 40 somethings ! ) & loved it definitely going back next year great food and staff too , enjoy wherever you end up.
Paul Cranswick – Lovely modern rooms, good service, no noise during the night. Good area in the Rincon. The food was average in my opinion but you wouldn’t go hungry. I would stay again. V comfortable beds too.
Simon St-george Smith – It’s good. Stayed there a couple of week back. Decent food. Plenty of space around the pools. Rooms are good too.
Laura Keegan – Love it there. Stayed six times and going back in August. Pools are amazing, spa is fab, food quite good for AI, rooms are lovely. It’s a really nice hotel. Best I’ve stayed in in Benidorm so far. First trip was with 5 of my friends, but been with my husband, parents and last time with my 2 young daughters so suitable for all ages. Enjoy! X
Lesley Burgess Macdonald – It’s about 10-15 minutes to the strip depending onyour fitness, but bus stop outside takes you to Mediterraneo then just walk through to strip.
Cherry Bobbins – Was there in April really liked it back in 2 weeks, nice rooms, staff very nice.you can walk to quite a few things as bars, restaurants a lot are opposite hotel.
