Pork With Spanish Oranges Recipe - This tasty dish is wonderful with boiled rice or potatoes, follow the instructions below to enjoy Pork with Spanish Oranges


4 Large Lean Pork Chops.

1 Onion, finely chopped.

350ml/ 12floz of Orange Juice.

50g/ 2oz of Flour.

1/2 Teaspoon of Mixed Spice.

1 Cubed of Chicken Stock.

Dash of Tabasco Sauce.

Butter of frying.

Salt and Pepper.

2 Large Oranges, peeled and sliced into circles.

Trim any excess off the pork chops.

Melt a knob of butter in a large frying pan.

Add the pork and fry until browned, then remove and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pan.  Fry for 5 minutes, over a low heat, until soft.

Now stir in the flour and crumble the stock cube into the onion.  Stir constantly for 1 minute.

Remove the pan from the heat and gradually stir in the orange juice.


Return to the heat and bring to the boil. Season with salt and pepper.  Then add the spices and tabasco sauce.

Add the pork chops back to the pan, and simmer for 20 minutes add the rings to the pan, placeing them on top of the pork. Cook for another 10 minutes.  After this time, remove from the heat.

Use a large serving dish, first lay the orange circles evenly throughout, place the pork chops on top of the oranges.

Lastly spoon what juices are left over the pork chops

This is a lovely easy recipe, very tasty, served it with mash and veg but felt it would have been better with rice so will definitely be cooking this again,
