  • Relaxing getaway

1st time visit to Benidorm friend has been a couple of times before. Stayed at the Grand Bali on an All inclusive deal. Honest review of the place. All inclusive drinks package was a good deal house spirits and lager even Tequilla shots. You could also have house wine. soft drinks also quite varied. So some might say worth it for the drinks alone.

Food not that brilliant the usual boring all inclusive food on offer. Just alternated the pork shin with beef shin. hotel steady for this time of year.

Pool not open due to time of season. the new spa area is really nice but you have to book your slot and it’s €20 for 55mins or €55 including a treatment, although we couldn’t book a treatment during our stay as there were no spaces.

We stayed on the 33rd floor so the views over the bay were brilliant. And we had a visit to the rooftop viewing platform a further charge of €6 each, not for the faint hearted but plenty of photo opportunities.

If you want the quite side of Benidorm with only a cheap bus or taxi ride to the main strip, then it’s a good location.

To sum it up it’s starting to look a bit tired now and could do with a bit of a revamp however I do feel the price was value for money for this time of year, for a much needed few days away of relaxation.

Just came back from the Gran Bali & it was amazing.
I know some people are put off with going their as it is quite far out, but if you want to go into the old town it’s 15 minutes on the bus and about 25 minutes to the new town. €1.60 a single, can’t get much better than that & a lot cheaper than a taxi. You can get the buses round to the right hand side of the Bali, the number 2 & 3 go to the new & old town.

Gran Bali was very clean, well air conditioned & most staff speak very good English. All pools are clean & well looked after.

Rooms were clean! Cleaned every day if you allow the cleaner in, and beds changed every 2 days.

The viewpoint(43rd floor) was absolutely breath-taking.
    3€ for residents, 6€ for non-residents & a drink downstairs afterwards.
There is a tobacco shop seconds away from the Bali & a Mercadona (supermarket) a 5 minute walk away for essentials.

We were half board so has breakfast & dinner.
All the food was great, especially the desserts😋.
Loads of entertainment on during the day & evenings for all ages.
Would highly recommend this place & can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

We love the Bali, great for kids and nice to be out of the new town. La cala has some lovey bars. Also for anyone going if you top your key card up with money at reception you then get 10% off for drinks when you pay at the bars.

My stay at the Bali was very nice. However I made mistake of being there same time as Spanish holidays. So everything was catered for them. Tea dances etc. But La Cala was a sort walk and lovely too.

Just left the Hotel Gran Bali after 2 weeks for my 50th this hotel is amazing we did not listen to the negatives and I've had one of the best holidays ever, yes it's not in the strip area but stayed here purposely to explore that side of town, la cala is a beauty and Poniente beach a very happy bunny I am

Staff were not the best to be honest, unless you're Spanish... Food was unreal and hotel is stunning. Really nice restaurant over the road and a super market around the corner. Taxi rank right outside the hotel to.

Left today after a 2 night stay, defo clean but it's all about location not much around it for me but a short stroll to la cala, been there and ticked it of my to do list, don't think I would return as it's not the right area for me , couldn't fault hotel

Stayed 2 weeks ago. The taxi drivers and locals said to us that it’s actually in Benidorm, “false advertising” for people who want to be near the main strip (new town)
We had a lovely clean room, the reception and restaurants were clean. The shower area was a little tired but that didn’t bother us. We got a great deal and would stay there again.
We stayed half board, but the evening food wasn’t to our liking and we can normally find something to eat at any all inclusive hotel. It was cooked well and there was a selection, but not to our taste. We ate there 2 out of the 5 nights. Breakfast was good. I would say go - experience it and inform your own opinion. The pool area was fab x
    Taxi €13-€15
It was €3.20 each way on the bus for an adult and a child

    Susan Simpson
I thought it was excellent - it’s a 30 min walk along the front to the old town but there is a bus stop outside - we got a taxi back - we couldn’t fault it.

The hotel is nice, as everyone seems to have pointed out. Bali is past old town, near la cala. Its on a good bus route and also only 15€ in a taxi in to Benidorm centre. Its not a million miles away like some seem to think.

Lovely hotel nice n clean. We got a taxi from old town coming bk and it was €10. Yes it is quiet we’re the hotel is but it’s a nice walk x

    The hotel is very clean.
It's out of Benidorm, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. It's a lovely walk if you are up to it. Pools are lovely.
    La Cala is lovely too.
Have a good time when you get there.

Its a lovely hotel. It doesn't cater to the British masses so expect the food not to burn your mouth.... Spanish tend not to like boiling hot food when its almost 40° outside lol! Its a really short walk to Poniente beach and la cala de Benidorm...and in the opposite direction a short walk to the lovely cove of la cala where there are lots of bars and restaurants as well as a large street market every Tuesday and Saturday. Its also close to la marina shopping centre where there is also a tram stop. If you like walking there's great hikes in the hillsides with fantastic views and you can walk over the hills to Villajoyosa. Its about a 40 min to the centre of Benidorm and perhaps another 20 mins along to small British area ( strip....square) if you feel a need to go there!

The public areas do look stunning but the rooms are very dated. Room’s definitely need an upgrade. It’s in a quiet area with just a couple bars/cafes out front but you can get bus into old and new town just at the side of the hotel and get taxi back.
  • Too far out for me

Hotel is lovely, entertainment in the evenings catered more for older Spanish guests, some nice bars around Gran Bali. The food was great , something for everybody's taste, no complaints.

I found the walk to Benidorm although lovely was too much for me. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, bus into Benidorm was cheap enough. I personally wouldn't stay again only because its too far out.
  • Lovely Hotel

Lovely clean welcoming hotel - food ok - have had worse in Benidorm hotels - a bit out of it, but its a nice walk along front to old town - bus stop outside - short walk to the beach with bars etc

I have seen quite a lot of Negative comments about the Grand Bali Hotel. We are on our 4th night here and what an amazing Hotel. The staff are brilliant, the food is amazing and the standard of the rooms are really good. Plus it’s 20 minutes walk to the old Town but a good route through the beaches. We only paid B&B with 23kg and transfer for 7 nights £310 each so a bargain for this standard Hotel. I thought I would write this because I am finding it hard to believe the negative comments.

Stayed there last week, the food was not great, the room was nice but had a very narrow balcony, although we asked for a low floor we ended up on the 25th, we didn't find many bars around and ended up going to old town & beyond.

After reading some reviews I thought what have I done, but its been fantastic, the room, the maids, the food and service is great, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, you can always get the bus to where ever you want to go €1-60.

    Chad Clark
It’s a really lovely hotel! But the food is average. Some great places to eat in and around, and easy enough to get into Benidorm on the bus.

I was there three times last year and loved every minute. I miss hearing the soundtrack they play when sitting outside with my All Inclusive san Miguel.
The pizza ovens make great pizzas.
Rooms are all twin beds. Sea views are lovely.

Amazing hotel!!!Best swimming pool, fantastic views, never had to queue up for a sunbed. Bus stop right outside hotel. Cant wait to go back

It's a lovely hotel but some people think its in central Benidorm and are a tad disappointed when they arrive.
The distance from the hustle and bustle can lead to a less than brilliant time, especially when they won't admit its their own fault for not researching the hotel before they book.
