It's a great hotel. There will be bottled water in the fridge for when you arrive. The staff are lovely especially the bar staff ??

Royal is a great hotel we love it, if you turn right when you come out there are a few wee shops over the bridge for water etc lovely cooked chicken shop

Stayed a few times staff are great, food good and it's relaxed. Adults only managed to get sunbed everyday (we usually go September though) entertainment very Spanish but you are right on food street and then just a short walk to the strip. Equal walk to old town great hotel.

Very good highly recommend it, has carpet in all rooms and corridors so makes it very quiet at night. Beds comfy, staff all friendly, food is pretty standard in evening not a problem as plenty of nearby choices, breakfast is fine though.

Hazel Edgar -I stayed there 2 years ago....loved it...nice big superior room. kettle with tea & coffee replaced every day ...milk too free fridge...beds we so comfy...duvets on them too....meals were lovely ..nice sunbathing area, nice Suntrap at the front...wifi works all over the Hotel ..at the pool area too ...great position for old & new town.....loved everything about the. Hotel....it sure was the bargain break of the century...lol, only thing is try to get a balcony at the front...the back ones. Haven't any Sun on them...they are the Superior rooms too...

Mary Farrell - Stay there every January- lovely staff and great choice of food. Love it. They also put 2 bottles of water in your room for your arrival. Only place I've stayed at that does that. Enjoy.

It's on the edge of the old town up a slight hill just down from the Princesa opposite the Victoria hotel which was the sister hotel to the Royal don't know if it still is , they used to stagger the happy hours between them !

Roisin Hamilton - We have stayed there quite often lovely hotel great staff modern rooms very clean tastefully decorated maid service very good always plenty of towels and hot water very popular with returning clientele Veronica the animation lady is fantastic very friendly as are the restaurants and bar staff happy hour twice daily entertainment a couple of nights per week more suitable for older clients but good fun. Location is very handy for both old and new town we loved it and always nip in when we are there highly recommend it enjoy.

Sian Hunt - Fab hotel, had a superior room, dining room felt like a restaurant rather than a canteen, ideal for Old town, and a nice stroll into New town. Staff helpful and friendly.

Andrea Corrigan - Nice enough hotel, staff very friendly, especially dining room staff, brilliant breakfast, rest of the meals were average (we stayed full board), rooms clean and comfortable, lifts only took two average people weight on board any heavier no chance of lift working! Poolside and pool clean, annoying people saved sun beds with towels, staff did nothing! Average age of hotel guests over 50's.

Joyce Doyle - Stayed last year. The hotel is spotless and the staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble for them. Drink measures are very large. Food is of a very good standard and plentiful. Only down side pool a little on cold side for me.
