stayed there a few times last yer and March this year, food is lovely great sunbed area plenty beds, big tv screen at pool great hotel going back 22nd this month ?
Peter Sharpe – October 2016 – Came back from the Calypso last week, great hotel in a great location. Food on offer is one of the best I’ve seen in Benidorm, BUT, we had an early pickup time, 8am, so the hotel told us that early leavers can book a breakfast at 7-30, so all was good…..NOT!
The “breakfast” consisted of a 2 slot toaster, to be shared between 14 adults, to do some toast, then eat said toast, all 14 of us to be fed and ready for pickup in half hour. The tea machine hadn’t been switched on early enough, so the “hot” water was tepid.
Then, suddenly a cry of triumph went up, someone had found a jar of cereals!! RESULT! …..but the milk was nowhere to be found!
Marie Parslow – I have been twice went last year, it was better then this year its clean and your towels are changed every day and bedding changed every day, food is great. This year there was a lot of people who didn’t crack much of smile to be honest some time i felt like i was walking in a care home lol im a pensioner but gosh, there was a few nice people to be fair. Last year i went at end of Sept it was great but the hotel is great so dont worry just go and show them lol and the thing they were doing was waiting for pool to open at 8 ish then all go to get the chairs and brollies couldn´t be bothered with that. They have ball room dancing at night thats not for me.
Donna Weir: February 2017 – Great hotel & location ..good food not much in the way of entertainment mostly a older crowd but still a smashing hotel and staff.. I personally would prefer the Venus hotel for the pool and outside seating area.
Josh Smith, April 2017- Best hotel in Benidorm I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. I go about 4 times a year and have done for years lovely pool area very friendly staff customer service representative is very accommodating and will help you no end.
Katrina Mearns, April 2017 – Just home tonight from their can’t fault it clean good food nice staff more 5 star than 3 star plus and very secure as you need your room keycard for lifts and getting to the pool etc,
Natasha Claire Henson April 2017 – Calypso is one of the best if not the best hotel in Benidorm, great food, great location and spotlessly clean! Staying for second time for 2 weeks end of June.
Nigel Alan Browne – The only place I stay in Benidorm after trying about 8 hotels! Superb position near to all nightlife, fantastic friendly staff, amazing food, good size room with tv, fridge, air con and free WiFi. Nice and quiet to sleep at night and never seen any stag or hen parties there. Nice pool area with always plenty of loungers and good pool bar. 5 mins walk to the English square, wed and sun markets, and indoor market. I stay 4 times a year BRILLIANT 10 out of 10
Soo Bluenose Mackenzie – 10/10
Deborah Carlisle – Clean, friendly staff, excellent Servigroup food. 10/10
Jean Blatcher – I would have given it 10/10 until my last stay there in October. No doubt about it the staff are lovely and the general public areas are spotless. For the first time ever I thought the cleanliness of the room was not up to the usual standard eg on our second day a long dark hair appeared in the shower – I am blond and hubby is bald so I presume it came from the maid or on the towels. Personally I think the standard of the food has deteriorated – I am not a fussy eater but there were at least 3 occasions when all I could eat was the salads and cold meat. One evening the guest cooking was turkey chops !!!! We have also usually found the hotel quiet at night but again on our last trip I had to phone reception at 3 in the morning because of the noise from a room nearby. Having said this hotel is in a great location if you like this area of Benidorm.
Diane Rae Gubb Yet another fantastic Servigroup hotel. We were in the new annex where rooms are slightly smaller but adequate. There is a hairdryer, free fridge & Wi-Fi available in all rooms & areas. The walk in shower replaces the bath & a fair size. Glitter walls, floor & sink tops, I copied it at home!!! Food great & very spacious Dining Room. The pool area here is quite large, reached by stairs or a lift. The entertainment is mainly for ballroom dancers but interesting to watch. 10/10
Robert Foster – we have used the calypso many times and found it to be 1 of the best in Servigroup, hotel spotless friendly staff and food lovely, entertainment is mainly dancing but who wants to stay in lol xx id have to give 10/10 because I can’t fault it, best I have been in. Xx
Karen Gilson – We stayed there last October for the first time. The food was brilliant and we thought the rooms and hotel were very clean, just zero to do at night (in the hotel I mean) as we were there for more than a week, we just fancied the odd night in, but the bar closed at 12pm . 9/10 Hotel, food 10/10
Carol Cheadle – we stayed here last April with 2 granddaughters aged 12 and 13, I agree with everything Diane Rae Gubb said, apart from us not being in the annex. Never stayed anywhere with such a powerful shower, one of those you can stand under until you wrinkle haha
