Cristal Park FB group members reviews August 2022Sue Lynas
I think the Cristal Park is like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. I personally love it. A group of us went and 50% have booked / returned again, and 50% would never step foot inside.
We all had the same accommodation type, and holiday experience, so it just shows how people's opinions are completely different.
If you are looking for a typical 'British Themed' hotel, this is not the one for you. But we personally like the AI element, found the food very nice (again some of our party refused to eat there after the first night).
The location is great for the beach, and we personally found the staff very helpful and accommodating.

AVOID - magic crystal park
We are just about to return home from a week in Benidorm with our 4 children, beautiful weather and beach and we made the best of it however we were and are shocked at how bad Magic crystal park is.. Luckily we booked ultra all inclusive and could visit other hotels as we did just that from 10am - 6pm every day. A family of 2 adults 4 kids all under 13 made to share 2 separate rooms 10 rooms apart but told same floor so deal with it.. despite having some big rooms to accommodate, not given any info on check in about what’s available or about the English bar (in the basement) after asking 3 times if there is any entertainment very unwelcoming .. we have just been made to catch 2 taxies to the airport as the receptionist promised she booked us a minibus and didn’t to top it off.. got to laugh it off.. smiles all round regardless.
We had a similar experience tbh. It was a budget holiday and as far as I’m concerned we got what we paid for. Our room was great right enough but the staff were very rude. Our kids were 2,3 and 8 at the time so stayed in the hotel most nights for entertainment and weren’t told about the English bar till a few days in by the only English member of staff who seemed to be there to usher all the Britons into the basement. Felt like the Spanish holiday makers were drawing us dirty looks in the evenings and the English guy kept telling us about the bar downstairs as if he was being told to move us but never actually showed us where it was so didn’t find it till our last couple of nights. Wouldn’t stay there again but loved the magic chain and had an excellent time a few years later in Magic Robin Hood. Would highly recommend for young families.

We came back yesterday from there, it wasn't the best but it wasn't expensive so you get what you paid for. Food was edible, I did book a junior suite and only got given a standard double. Couldn't be arsed to complain lol, staff all seemed lovely to me. The beer wasn't the greatest but as I say get what you pay for, I probably wouldn't stay there again
Me & my boyfriend was there 2/3 weeks ago we booked double room with 2 double beds they give us singles then the balcony it was covered with a sign & it was tiny as hell & the food is like care home food staff isn’t very good with the English & it’s a bit away from the night clubs but glad it was near the shops honestly the hotel was shocking never will go there again.
We were there last week and was very disappointed with it as well, loved Benidorm but hated that hotel will defo not go bk there
Not sure what everyone's problem was, yes a bit dated but staff were fabulous, especially Oscar the night man who made sure we had everything when we arrived late, down to milkshake for our granddaughter and a bottle of prosecco for both rooms. We had a great time there and though the weather wasn't brilliant the covered pool and afternoon entertainment made up for it. The night bar below the restaurant was great, lovely singers and the quizzes and karaoke were excellent. Maybe all you complainers need to stop moaning, you get what you pay for.
Well I'm going to buck the trend here - we stayed there last October. Apart from not having a balcony, the hotel was good, the staff nice and friendly and the food was superb. There are obviously better hotels but this one isn't as bad as everyone's saying on here !!
That's my two penn'orth
Have stayed at crystal park a few times it a bit run down but have always found staff very friendly, the evening entertainment was a bit under par but have always enjoyed staying there. The only down side every time is getting the lifts at meal times to English restaurant as the Spanish guests tend to monopolies them, but would stay there again as it cheap and cheerful.
Ultra all inclusive gives you international drinks best spirits by far entertainment is good in magic café and the bar staff are brilliant they do have a children's rep artery pool ping pong darts etc also there is a game's experience room for children top of the range games experience machines, there are 2 restaurant's you can chose which one you go in I cant fault this hotel

I stayed last month treated myself to 24 hours all inclusive. All I can say is the food was really good plenty if it and good choice. If you upgrade you get branded spirits. Entertainment every evening and the rooftop terrace has fabulous views. The rooms were very clean and spacious and hotel staff very friendly and helpful. All in all a nice hotel.
Merry Macdonald, April 2017 - Just got back from this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its in the old town, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The downstairs bar is good serving ale in proper pint pots. Umbrellas were available at the roof top bar.
Gaynor Roberts, April 2017- I didn't like it at all. The air con didn't work. They said it was due to it being so hot. The pool was under a roof so u couldn't lie there while the kids played. The sun loungers on the roof part didn't have any umbrellas. The area near to the pool had very little sun loungers so we spent everyday sat on chairs. There is no snack bar. U have to go in to eat. They only bring paella out at a certain time and have crisps at the bar. It's a hotel for local people. Many didn't speak English behind the bar so difficult to get drinks. The food however in the restaurant was brilliant. My boss stays here all the time. Maybe we had a bad experience but I like to relax round the pool in the sun and my partner with the umbrella. It wasn't a relaxing holiday. We were lucky the kids were old enough that we didn't have to sit indoors watching them.
Tammy Beaney - stayed there last June. not all rooms have balconies, food is lovely not to far walk to beach, downstairs bar is good catered for English. only thing i didn't like was no outdoor pool but used shuttle bus to go to other Magic group hotels.
Sandra Shearer Toal - Stayed there a few years ago, two restaurants, one mainly Spanish, and the other where most of the English people are, indoor pool, and rooftop bar with plenty of sun loungers, big bar downstairs, which was good, no complaints.
Gee Belfast - It's dated bit it's clean I stayed last fiesta paid 300 all inclusive stayed in 1 night drinking ate lunch 3 times food was average bit location was handy for main parades I was always out room was comfortable no real complaints,
Mandy Macpherson Morrison - We stayed here a few years ago the food is good but we didn't like the pool as it was up on the roof.the English bar and entertainment is down it the basement where's the Spanish entertainment is on the main floor .closer to the old town.
Danny Hanks-Mayday McDonnell - stayed there 10 times, needs a bit of a makeover but other than that is very good. Staff are brilliant, food is good entertainment good, you get what you pay for.. Going again again for Fiesta November with a large group of friends, can't wait.
Trev King - The staff are excellent the hotel is crap the hotel is also very Spanish orientated to which they have their own restaurant and entertainment area which are both better than ours the food was ok at best the rooms are fine but no balconies and no lie ins either due to the street noise on a morning there is a school directly opposite.
English entertaining area downstairs is good the lads do a good job and they serve branded spirits also they will shut the roof terrace if the sun goes in and the only other outside space is the pavement terrace where you will struggle to get a seat as the Spanish sit there all day as they like to smoke in the shade and it's on a main road no good for kids and if it rains the hotel stinks get a room as high as possible do not take younger children to this hotel and I know it's Spain but the older Spanish holiday makers love to stand in the most awkward places possible and shout thier life stories to each other I.E in front of lifts or any doorway that leads anywhere the hotel is not in the best location either.
I would not return far better hotels in Levante end.
Ray Lawson - Stayed here twice November 2009 and November 2016 as I like it for the start of fiesta got room with balcony on main street above bar it's opposite a school so can be a bit noisy but that's why I book it 4 so I can watch floats going down street with all Spanish lifts arnt the best, two restaurants 1 caters mainly 4 Spanish and that's the 1 I prefer staff are friendly sun all day on roof top with bar and Jacuzzi, pool is covered and cold at first. Entertainment on a night ok but reception is slow as not that big and they try to give you a silver all inclusive card when you're supposed to be gold I got them 2 change 12 guests card's when I was there plus it's about a 25 min walk along sea front to new town but I've stayed in new and old so know all short cuts I wouldn't advice short cuts late at night though
If all inclusive can use sister hotel's 1 over the road from Vincent bar just up road from Rons bar next to dove square plus a free shuttle bus to take you to other sister hotel's get time table from reception I've stayed in a few sister hotel's best 1 was the Aqua magic rock gardens up cardiac hill in new town as the crystal is the oldest hotel decor is out dated but you only sleep there plus they do a packed lunch if you fancy a day at the beach just ask at reception day before plus if you're gold get named brand's and bottle bears but you have to tell them at bar what spirit as they try to give you local brand my favourite hotel in November.
Annemarie Dickinson -Awful hotel, never again, entertainment rubbish in a small room down the side, food not the best and reception staff not that friendly.
Chris Wenn -Fantastic hotel been 4 times... Going 2 times this year end of January and October.
Marlene Evans - We stay there every November ,Food good ,staff great ,Never had a problem x
We have stayed here ,every year for the last 12 years, every November and some times in May. Most of our friends stay 3 times a year, we have never had a problem ,Good food, staff are Brill, Rooms are a bit dated ,
Review by Paul CranswickHeart of Old Town. Lovely park behind it. Shops etc on doorstep. Beach front 7-8 mins walk. Bit old fashioned but food always been good, British and Spanish entertainment (two different bars) I have a soft spot for this hotel to be honest. Pool is on the roof and a lovely big terrace up there. You can use other Magic hotels too in the group. Only downside is if you want to be in the New Town all the time you have a walk/cab ride. Can walk to New Town in 25 mins easily. You will have a great time
