It's about halfway up Jaime primero (the wide road running up to the bullring/ train station from Poniente. You'd be at Poniente beach in 10 mins, cutting across, you'd be in the old town in 10 to 15 mins. It's mostly non British clientele so if you like chicken nuggets and pizza slices, black pudding on your breakfast, or food that's heated in a nuclear reactor you'll probably be disappointed.

The hotels at the back of the old town . I’ve stayed there when on a rugby trip about 25 of us. It’s a really good and the foods great, rooftop bar and pool .
It’s about a 25 min walk to the new town but only a couple of euros in a taxi .
    I would recommend it.

It's very Spanish/International, personally I would love it, but do understand it's not every Brits cup of tea.

Hotel Cuco......too far out, 15 min walk to Poniente (which is lovely) terrible food, made to feel really unwelcome by Spanish guests, thinnest walls, rooftop pool is tiny pool across the road shared with sister hotel so not much room......

Me & my partner stayed there in March, was excellent. Exceptionally clean, modern & staff amazing. Would definitely recommend. We thought it was a great location.

Room was modern, cleaned regularly & great bathroom with walk in shower. As for food not sure how anybody could complain, loads of choice, restaurant staff really helpful.

It’s in the old town but a nice walk to new town if that’s where you fancy. I stayed here a while ago now, but it was clean and modern, and the food was lovely. I’m a fussy eater and didn’t struggle at all!

We stayed here in 2019 and it was a quiet hotel which was exactly what we were looking for 10 minutes down the hill to the beach, 30 - 40 minutes to the show bars. food was generally good and pretty varied the pool is shared with the hotel over the road and it was COLD this was in October though. there is a very small pool on the roof which we didn't use. entertainment wasn't great but they had a guy who really tried his best to get people involved. it is away from the main strip and above old town so its quiet but that was a plus for us it won't be for everyone.

hi Everyone, just to say the new Cuco HOtel in Old Town is lovely. Nice food, nice staff. Can't fault it.
  • A modern haven at the back of the Old Town.

Stayed here, All Inclusive for three nights in December, for the Missus' birthday. Fabulous hotel; friendly, courteous staff and great food.

A little out of the way and parking is problematic but rooms were first class, modern and spacious. Will definitely stay again.
  • Nice hotel on the surface

I've stayed in hotels all over the world and never once had to complain or leave a negative review until now.
On arrival despite being told the hotel was finished it clearly wasn't with works still continuing.
We got to our room to find it still being cleaned to had to wait downstairs for the cleaner to finish which after a couple of trips upstairs to check took around 30 mins.
How it took this long is beyond me as from what I could see she'd cleaned the floor and the bathroom and that was it as the bedside table had a large sticky puddle from i can only presume a soft drink.
The food was non existent and barely cooked so had to give up on that and despite the rooms being nice we couldn't really enjoy it as it was so hot and there was no air con.
After raising all our complaints with our holiday provider we were put in touch with Christine the hotel director to who arranged to meet us in reception. After waiting over 25 minutes she showed up and frankly could not have cared less.
Despite the sound of drilling coming from the stairs behind us she claimed there were no works ongoing at the hotel whatsoever. She also dismissed the non existence of the rooftop pool/jacuzzi area and claimed they couldn't control the weather so the air con was on heat before changing her story and stating it needed to be fixed.
We left out meeting with her having resolved nothing and being left downright shocked at her attitude but the best was yet to come.
She emailed our travel operator advising them that all the issues had been resolved and we agreed there were no outstanding problems.....utter lies! Having further communication once I returned from my trip the hotel has continued to lie and even claimed to my travel operator that I was claiming for food poisoning and just wanted a free holiday..
How can someone get food poisoning from not eating at the non existent buffet? needless to say we won't be returning and having seen the managements attitude won't stay in any MH hotel.
