Stayed there with a friend. There was no room between sunbeds at all. Pool really small too. We had a room at the back over looking the car park, so disappointing. The food wasn't great and certainly wouldn't stay again. Presidente was far superior.

Convenient for the old town. It’s had a make over. Stayed there over Christmas/New Years, no issues. Staff are great. Foods good enough, although ate out mainly.

Was a great hotel and good breakfast. We upgraded to a junior suite with sea view and it was lovely. The only problem we had was trying to get a sun lounger so ended up paying to go on the beach every day, good thing it was only a few steps away.

Only a small hotel - nothing in the way of entertainment - it’s welcoming and clean with good music bars near - we only go B&B and the breakfast is excellent - pool is very cold this time of year though.

Just home after staying at Sol Costablanca on the beachfront. It’s smack in the middle between the Old Town and New Town next door to Hotel Cimbel. It’s a lovely hotel, I have severe mobility problems and need sticks to walk but often use a wheelchair and the hotel has wide doors and wheelchair tables in the restaurant. The hotel only has 8 floors and it has 2 lifts. One of the lifts is more like a rocket, it takes off before the doors are fully closed and when you reach ground floor within seconds, you stop with a bump! The hotel is lovely, I’d say 75% of the people staying there are older Spanish people. The reception is 24hr. We booked a standard room which meant either a sea view with no balcony or a back street view with balcony (sea view with balcony was a lot more expensive). The safe was €40 for a week with €20 back on return of the key. You can rent a beach towel for €10 a week with half back on return. We only stayed b&b so can’t comment on meals but we always got a table for breakfast and the choice was vast and plentiful. You can have a bar tab or pay as you go but the bar was very expensive - a glass of lager was €4, so we didn’t use the bar as a pint everywhere else was €2. The pool is small but you are steps away from the beach so we didn’t use the pool. There are only a handful of sunbeds and they couldn’t be reserved until after 10am. We didn’t bother with these either. The entertainment was atrocious. I thought it was karaoke until I realised the bloke sang every song! It was just this one bloke with a mic singing every evening. We literally just used the hotel as a base as you are surrounded by a wide variety of entertainment. The rooms are nice but I was very surprised to find them carpeted and not floor tiles, the beds are comfy and lots of storage and a tv. There is a small fridge and a safe. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. The bathroom has a big floor level walk-in shower which was lovely and a hairdryer. Maid service and clean towels every day. My biggest WTF moment was when I shut the bathroom door and realised it is glass! It is frosted glass but when the light is on you can see everything! I would stay again just for the location. If you want a pool, sunbeds and entertainment then it’s not for you

We are at sol Casablanca right now that’s our view but only book bed and breakfast hubby not so keen on evening meal other than that brilliant hotel

Stayed there on three occasions, great hotel and try and book a sea view (more of a premium) high floor nice clean and friendly staff, if I can never get booked into this hotel i use Hotel Bilbaino has an alternative

Just left today. Certainly not impressed . No way a 4 star . Rooms very basic. Pool small and sun lounger area very small , overlooked from promenade . Would not be my choice again

My fav Benidorm hotel - have been around a dozen times - clean , in a great spot , staff lovely , only have breakfast which is good so can’t comment on other food , not much in the way of entertainment but many live music bars minutes away.

Only my opinion, but I do not think it should have 4 stars. evening restaurant no longer has table clothes on table ,feels more like a cafe. not worth getting dressed up for, might as well go in your shorts and t shirts.

We stayed at the sol Costa Blanca last week, food was good and staff were great and right on the beach.

Stayed there in October, its great. Fabulous location on prom and between old and new town. Mixture of Brits and Spanish nice feel to the place. I would happily stay here again.
