Barbara-Jane McIntosh - It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in. It is a walk from the strip but if your fit enough 10-15 mins ur there. You also walk by some fab pubs too. The staff are amazing. The food is fab too and the rooms are huge. We stay there every year and it never fails xx

Julie Aliski - Lovely hotel nice and clean food lovely only thing wrong was location of hotel .

Colleen Hinchliffe - Lovely hotel plenty pubs down the road near by not near strip at least 10 minutes to beach but if you want a good hotel good food and friendly staff then you got one.

We’ve come to the end of our 4 night stay and we’ve loved our first time in Benidorm! Me, my mum, cousin and youngest son Sullivan have had a blast.
Stayed at Hotel Mediterraneo - lovely staff, lovely pool area, half board - food was just OK. Rooms bit dated and not the cleanest, but served purpose. Air con was rubbish and was quite uncomfortable at night!
Location-wise it was fine, we walked 10 mins down to the beach, 10 mins up a steep hill next to the hotel to Mundomar.

Bus stop right outside €1:60 to anywhere.

Lovely family hotel, a bit far for walking into main centre. but far enough away from the chaos. Great food, staff are amazing. Benidorm Palace just across the road and bus stop right outside.

    Susan Simpson
Lovely hotel but not in the centre of things if that’s what you are looking for.

    Colleen Hinchliffe
Lovely hotel, away from the strip but many bars nearby.

  • New Year at the Hotel Mediterraneo

    ,

This was our 2nd New Years stay at the Hotel Mediterraneo.
We have also had a few summer holidays here too.
We loved the last New Year which was a few years ago and we had wanted to return at this time of year to enjoy some winter sun and the festive and new year celebrations.

We arrived on NYE 2022 and we were met by the friendly reception staff who quickly checked us in then we made our way to our room on the first floor to unpack before going to lunch.

We had booked on an AIl inclusive basis but as always we do not let that keep us tied to the Hotel.

The hotel is set back from the Levante Beach which is around 10 to 15 mins walk away or you can hop on the local bus 10 to take you closer or indeed to the start of the old town or to Altea in the opposite direction for only 1.6€ per person.
The hotel is also directly opposite the Benidorm Palace and just down hill in the residential area from Aqualandia water park and Mundomar attraction. There are a number of pubs and restaurants close by too.

The Hotel it’s self is low rise with no tall buildings blocking the sunshine from the pool area.
With an indoor Bar lounge area a well lit ventilated restaurant indoor pool jacuzzi and sauna and a gym the hotel caters for a range of international guests.

The food in the Restaurant is delicious with cooked or continental items hot and cold beverages available for Breakfast lunch and dinner consists of a good selection of salads soup hot cooked dishes ranging from pasta rice and vegetables curry’s pizza Paella to steaks and fish cooked in front of guests at the cooking station. Drinks are served by the waiting staff to the table. There is also a range of children’s buffet items and then there’s deserts cakes fresh fruit ice cream etc there is something for every taste.
In addition to the set meal times you can choose to have snacks not that we needed to do this.

The waiting staff and kitchen staff are friendly quick to replenish food items and they doo check food temperature if it’s below the temperature it is removed promptly honestly nothing that should be warm was cold and nothing that should be cold was warm. Tables are cleared up promptly and the whole restaurant is managed very efficiently and it’s clean.

In the lounge bar there is a good selection of beverages available on All inclusive from beer wine spirits and soft drinks ti chocolate milkshakes and hot drinks too. Again the staff are very friendly and helpful but note you will be served one drink per card at a time this keeps the bar fast moving so you never have to wait too long to be served. Watch out for Tery she is a gem a lovely bar tender hard working but loves to make your stay enjoyable once the bar staff get to know you it feels like you are family. Entertainment ranges from kicker pool and children’s activity’s by day time to show time in the evening. Jose the Entertainment manager is keen to ensure everyone has a great time he also puts on an amazing Tina Turner impression along with others too

There is a game of Hoy Hoy it’s a bit like bingo but with cards not balls it’s free to play along most people do the winner is presented with chocolates and a bottle of bubbly if they are over 18.

The rooms are bright and airy we had a pool view. There are two beds and we also had two sofa beds as we had children with us too there is a bath with shower toilet bidet a built in wash basin with huge mirror and a hair drier there is also a fridge in the room great to keep a few cold drinks or done chocolate if the weather is warm.

Rooms are warm at this time of year but also have air con.

Rooms cleaned daily and cleaned very well the house keepers work really hard keeping the rooms clean with fresh towels daily and always make sure you have enough loo roll too.

There is a shower gel dispenser and a shampoo dispenser filled up in the bathroom along with bars of soap shower caps and even a disposable comb too.

The NYE Gala meal was amazing reception with cocktails in the bar then to the restaurant for the meal with salmon and prawn starters a soup course a pallet cleanser steak main course in port sauce desert coffee and sweets with wine both table and sparking and lucky grapes to see in the New Year. Entertainment and a Dj till the early hours and hot chocolate and cake at 3am.
All in all a great hotel catering for everyone in a quieter location which is a great base to explore the surrounding areas of the Costa Blanca and not too far from the beach the night life and City’s Attractions.

During our week we walked miles Albir to Altea hotel to the old town and the Poniente beach the port Benidorm Castle and the view point to name a few, we ate out drank out sometimes and a visit to Benidorm for us is not complete with out going to Pinocchios for ice cream we went to the 3 kings parade in the old town which was brilliant we’ve used our legs busses and taxis to pack in as much as we could which we wouldn’t normally do in the Summer.

But one thing that was noticeable more at this time of year than in the summer, while the temperatures were unseasonably warm this year the British had tee-shirt and shorts on they braved to cold med and the outdoor pools while the locals were wrapped up like it was winter the beaches were quite but the walkways the shops the old town and busses were packed.

The 3 kings event was so busy it was practically impossible to walk down the pathway until the crowds dispersed and the roads re opened.

Would we go back yes in a heart beat same hotel same time of year. See you soon Benidorm ❤️

All rooms have a fridge and hairdryer, no mention or sign of a kettle.

I'm currently at the Mediterraneo and everything has been absolutely brilliant

    Sally Ann Telfer 21st July
I'm at the Mediterraneo just now lovely hotel .plenty selection for food .plenty sunbeds .gets sun all day .I'm all inclusive. Think one drink at a time is enough and you get served quickly at bars. must admit aircon is not best in this heat

    Carole Hooper
We’ve stayed at this hotel twice, the staff were lovely when we stayed, staff are doing their jobs by insisting you have your card for drinks.

    Russell Myra Parsons

  • Brilliant Hotel

    ,

4th stay at Hotel Mediterraneo, first stay since Covid. Brilliant hotel, still as good as ever, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Lovely pool area. Food delicious, have never understood the people who complain about the food, so much choice and always plenty available. Evening at Benidorm Palace opposite was fabulous too. Fab location if you don’t mind a 15 min stroll to the front, 15 min walk to Aqualandia too. Fab holiday and would stay in the hotel again
