Best deals in town

Round Town Travel started life in Benidorm as a Tourist information centre mainly for the British. Our reputation and list of services has grown over the years leading to our full “Travel Agency” registration in 2008. We now boast three conveniently located offices staffed with multi-lingual personnel offering the best of the Costa Blanca to any traveler to the area. Our team here have all lived and worked in the area for many years, meaning,
We are an independant British run Travel Agent specialising in holidays and everything to do with Benidorm the Costa Blanca and Spain. We started over 10 years ago with a small information office in Benidorm helping and advising travellers on holiday in Benidorm. This service became more and more invaluable with the decline of the tour operators reps and more people found they needed advice and help while on holiday, especially when something goes wrong.
We know Benidorm and the surrounding area, better than anyone. If you are looking for a nice place to eat, advice on where to go or what to do, we will always offer you our best and “unbiased” advice, as we are much more than just a travel agency.
Over the years we have helped thousands of holiday makers and it became more apparant than ever that we needed to take that step further and become a travel agent which is what we did in 2008 and since then we have booked holidays for 1000s of people and found them cheap holidays in Benidorm and a level of service second to none.

  • Guadalest and Algar falls

    ,

    Bus arrived on time ...Bonus
We got on at Pelicanos, and there were a few pickups after us but not too bad.
Allocated seating so no rush to find seats together etc

I enjoyed the journey to Guadalest, nice to see new places. Kathy our guide kept us informed about things in English and Spanish.
Had the option to buy tickets on the bus to a couple of museums. We purchased both x 2 for €12 total.

One was for the dolls house museum...loved it in there, only a small place but loved the detail.
The 2nd one was something like miniature Gigantica. Really detailed minature work such as a bible written on a pin head ( could be a match or grain of rice). Very good but by the end I'd had enough of viewing things in such detail. Sculptures were great in there. Before we did those though we went uphill to see the reservoir ( blue lagoon). Great view from up there but could be a struggle going up if your not so mobile. My dodgy knees managed it ok but my partner was puffing a bit. After taking a lot of pictures we headed off to the museums and also to a shop Kathy had recommended to get a free shot of the local Nispero. Very nice, bought a bottle and Antonio the owner was very friendly. Had time to have an icecream and a drink in a cafe kathy had again recommended. ...a note on this to be aware of, if your paying by card it's a €10 minimum.

Back on the bus to Algar falls. The bus dropped us at the bottom and theres a fairly steep walk up the road to the Falls. We were both puffing a bit and noticed a few others were the same although some shot off up it with no problem. Kathy had given us a wristband to get into the falls and you could walk up at your own pace and go straight in. The falls are lovely but theres quite a lot of steps to climb if you want to go to the top and for someone only 4ft 10 theres some that quite deep. Saying that I managed those easier than the walk up the hill. You can swim/paddle in any of the pools but you need to be a bit sure footed. Had time after doing the falls to have something to eat and drink in The Don Joan cafeteria.

Overall impression from me is it feels a bit rushed. It's ok if you just want a taste of the places but if you want to browse the shops or go up to the castle in Guadalest youd be pushed to do it. If I was doing it again, I'd make my own way to Guadalest which someone told me you can do by bus and then another day I'd do Algar falls half day visit with Roundtown.
