We booked an all inclusive holiday with select lounge access.
DINING EXPERIENCE
Good quantity and quality foods, always fish and meat options, sides, fresh salad, desserts, cold meats & cheeses.
Staff very attentive in the dining room, with plates being cleared within seconds. Impeccable service.
ROOMS
Rooms are in need of an update, feature red wall and dark furniture. That’s the only negative.
Every room is the same if booking through a travel agent. On their own website, suites are also available. Good sized general double rooms with adequate balcony overlooking the pool (we requested sea view - ‘peacock island’ is visible) with table and 2 chairs. Little pull out line to dry your swimwear which was a nice touch.
Beds comfy, room contained 2 x full sized double beds for 2 of us.
Beds made up every day and bins emptied.
Around 8 English channels on the TV - scroll to channel 60 and beyond to find them.
Kettle provided with a selection of flavoured teas, coffee, sugar and milk and an expresso coffee machine with pods. If you run out, we were told to ask at the bar for them, which they pass your selection to you, no question.
Bathroom contains a bath with an overhead shower, adequate, but a walk in shower and no bath would be more suited here. Toiletries provided - hand wash, hand cream, shower gel etc. Toilet, bidet and double sinks in bathroom - bathroom is a good large size. Hairdryer also in bathroom. Towels changed every day.
We had bathrobes, slippers and a ‘turning down’ service which was a staff member popping by each evening to give us chocolates - chocolates were lovely.
SELECT LOUNGE
Perfect! Entry via your key card into a frosted glass partition only for select lounge access residents, lovely air con inside with comfortable seating and a private outside area with umbrellas.
Premium spirits - every type under the sun! A beer pump, cordials, a continuous fully stocked fridge with bottled beer, including 0% alcohol beer, premium bottled soft drinks (cola zero, sprite etc), bottled fruit juices - apple, grape, orange, pineapple and tomato juice (perfect for making yr own bloody mary’s!). Also wine in a pre set temperature cooler - red, white & rose. Bottles of Prosecco in ice buckets and an ice bucket for use in drinks. Staff continually popping in to refresh any depleted stock.
A selection of canapés always available as well as a tub of jelly sweets, crisps, nuts, fruit slices (to eat & pop into your drinks). Cannot fault this area and well worth the extra booking charge.
SPA & POOL AREA
Our stay included a 2hr circuit in the spa which we took advantage of.
The spa consists of an underground pool on the lower floor with various jets. A cold plunge pool, sauna and steam room. Nice touch. Flip flops and swimming caps must be worn - these apes provided by the hotel at a cost of €1.50 each if needed. Booking is essential, you can’t just turn up. Always staff at the spa area to accommodate you and are very friendly and helpful.
The pool is a good size, however, it only goes to your chest (I’m 5ft 6), but perfect for cooling off. There’s a circular whirlpool, however, the whirlpool doesn’t come on very often and as such, we never experienced it when it was working. It’s intermittent and not powered by its occupants. Saying that, it was a nice area to sit and chill in and seats around 8-10 people at any one time.
The sun beds around the pool are great, comfy and plenty of them, with lots of umbrella’s for shade. The pool area is shaded to some degree in various area throughout the day as the sun moves around, but gets the sun until it sets - sun was still shining on this area gone 7.30 at night!
There is a separate area with tables and chairs if you wish to eat from the poolside snack bar, with chips, hot dogs, burgers etc - these cannot be taken over to your sun-bed. The snack bar is open from 11-6 daily.
Drinks can be taken over to your sun-bed and staff are round frequently (every few minutes) to remove empty containers. The whole exterior area is kept very clean by staff.
This is the first hotel where I have had a pleasant experience with the all inclusive option, it’s never been my preference (the husband wished to try it), but if we return here, the all inclusive plus is a must - I would definitely return. You won’t be disappointed!
