Hi everyone , so enjoyed my time in Beni last December , coming back this winter I think, we enjoyed the old town and trips to alicante, altea , and a little forage to the noisy end to see the neil diamond tribute , although elderly we do enjoy a bit of a galavant , and thinking of a quick walk around the strip, but on one of the facebook pages for benidorm, hearing some horrendous stories about horrific actions of bouncers, and the last thing we need at our age on a holiday is to watch people getting beat up, surely this is not openly happening , wondering if we should just stick to poniente and old town, we are relatively newbies so any advice welcome, I knwo you get problems all over but it does seem to be getting really bad according to others

Having said all that, it is not a reason to avoid the strip. You seem like an intelligent man, and it is not difficult to walk up and down the strip and avoid large groups of drunks and find the bars where people are in just to enjoy a shows and have a good night. They are easy to spot. The decent clientele will be outside having a smoke and chatting with the bouncers. Enjoy your holiday and enjoy everything Benidorm has to offer. More ...
