State weather agency AEMET has revealed that our region, and especially our province of Alicante has seen the highest average winter temperatureState weather agency AEMET has revealed that our region, and especially our province of Alicante has seen the highest average winter temperature since records began back in 1869. While the rest of Spain recorded average temperatures that were 1.9c above average, our province recorded temperatures that were 2.3c above the normal. The lack of rain was evident, with the only significant day in three months occurring on January 19th, with a tiny bit on February 8th and 9th.
