Good news,,, The huge fire at Tarbena, although not fully controlled nor extinguished, is stabilised, allowing both the airborn firefighters, and the UME military backup units to be withdrawn.

The 182 people that were evacuated from their properties have also been allowed to return to their homes.

There remain 120 firefighters and other personnel, working on the ground to finish the job and extinguish every last flame. 697 hectares of ground was burnt, in a fire that has seen two people detained, who are allegedly responsible for the fire through a badly controlled burning of agricultural waste.
