The town hall of Benidorm is about to award Laura the "Distinción Europa 2024" award for the decisive part she has paid in tourism since she took over the job on November 1st 2019. (Just in time for covid!) Congratulations, well deserved!
The airport has 300 direct employees, and more than 6,000 indirect, and they handle 38 airline companies, with flights to 129 destinations in 26 countries. Last year saw 15,747,678 passengers come through the airport, which was 6% of all the numbers arriving by air into Spanish territory.
