      The use of drones by private individuals in Spain is very strictly controlled, with severe penalties for people that use drones of 250 grams or aboveThe use of drones by private individuals in Spain is very strictly controlled, with severe penalties for people that use drones of 250 grams or above in populated areas. It is expressly forbidden (unless licenced and with specific permission,) to operate them above parks, gardens (both public or private areas), streets, beaches or events. The police in Palma Mallorca have caught four people operating drones illegally in the past couple of weeks. They were flying over prohibited areas (such as previously described), and have been told to expect fines of between 601€ to 30,000 euros. ...Although the maximum fine that can be applied in the most severe of offences is set by the courts at 225,000€!!   More ...
