🛍️ Market Days on the Costa Blanca – Your Weekly Guide - If you love exploring markets, the Costa Blanca is perfect for you. Every day there’s a market to visit, offering a colourful mix of stalls selling everything from fresh local produce to clothes, shoes, crafts, and household goods.
🕗 Opening hours: Usually 8:30am – 2pm, but arrive early for easier parking and the best selection.
💡 Top tips:
-
Prices are generally fixed, but polite haggling is welcome if you feel something is overpriced.
-
Check weather conditions before travelling, as rain or strong winds can reduce stall numbers.
-
Keep your belongings secure in crowded areas.

⚠️ Stay Safe Around Markets
Markets are busy, exciting places – but they’re also hotspots for pickpockets and scams. Here are some important safety tips:
✔️ Wear a secure bag. Choose one that’s hard for thieves to access – zipped and worn across your body is best.
✔️ Avoid keeping valuables in your back pockets. Phones and wallets are easy targets there.
✔️ Keep your bag in sight at all times. Especially if you stop for coffee – don’t leave your phone or purse on the table.
✔️ Carry only what you need. You might want a coffee, breakfast, or that extra pair of shoes – but keep cash to a minimum and split it between you if travelling as a couple.
✔️ Stay aware of your surroundings. Distraction is a common tactic for theft.
❌ Avoid the Pea or Potato men. These scam games are illegal, and you risk losing money fast.
